The staff was very nice, and it is in a great location. It is a very short walk from the major museums. They did not provide a locker, though, and they offered to hold on to my valuable things themselves, but I didn't feel comfortable with that. When I booked this place I was attracted to the free breakfast, but it was only bread and jam, peanut butter, and chocolate spread. That's it! No option to toast it, at least none that I saw. There was coffee, too, which I enjoyed. The breakfast room was actually in a different hostel nearby. Wifi was provided in both places, and in a throwback fashion, there was a public computer. I was the only one who used it! This hostel experience really depends on what you want and how well you sleep. I stayed in an eight person room, and people were coming in and out all night. I had to sleep on top of my belongings because there was no where to put anything. I was surprised to find the lights out and people asleep at 10pm! But, like I said, activity went on all night. So I had two difficult nights of sleep. Maybe the going rate in Amsterdam is high regardless, but this place was very pricey for what it offered and didn't offer.
