The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was slightly dark. It's as if it's always dim even during day time. I would prefer an option or a switch for a brighter light/bulb. The room was beautiful with comfy bed and good shower.

Stayed here with friends before so booked again to bring with my sister for her first time. The hotel is ideal for transport links and walkable if you're looking to stay closer to the central attractions. Whilst it has a quirky mid-century charm the modern features are definitely welcomed (air conditioned, lift, etc.) as not everywhere has this in Dam! We did spend the majority of our time out exploring, so pretty much only got ready and slept at the hotel. Unfortunately, we did have an incident where some money was stolen from our room and whilst the gentlemen we initially reported this to seemed genuinely horrified and wanted to help/investigate, the same cannot be said for the staff who were there when we came back later that day. After speaking with one staff member in particular, it became quite obvious that he thought the situation was comical and he pulled out our check-in sheet and pointed to the section where customers sign to say they leave their possessions in the rooms at their 'own risk', laughing and shrugging stating "thank God it was only a small amount". The amount of money is irrelevant, our aim wasn't to be reimbursed, but to make them aware that one of their staff had been into our room and stolen money. However, this obviously isn't seen as an issue here, unfortunately. Apart from this, we had a wonderful stay, I would just recommend anyone staying here to put the 'do not disturb' on your door for the duration of your stay to keep unwanted visitors out!

There is only ony one reason to stay here, location. I don’t know if it was typical lack of Dutch hospitality, but front desk could learn some manners. Our room was so tiny, there was barely any room around the bed. Also, google map shows this hotel as 4 stars, yet they don’t have a technician on demand. We had a non-working A/C for the whole weekend. The only highlight was the young men in the restaurant kindly great us and treated well.

Second time I’ve stopped at this hotel and it won’t be the last. Friendly helpful staff from start to finish, we arrived early and staff took our bags and even phoned us when our room was ready whilst we were out exploring the city. When we arrived back, our bags were already in our room for us. Clean Hotel, Absolutely perfect location right in Dam Square as a centre point, a tram stop right outside and a convenient supermarket next door but one to the hotel itself. Great hotel to complement a great trip.

Property is in a great location, very close to Dam Square, canals and lots of restaurants in the area. The restaurant in the hotel, Hulscher’s is very good with excellent service. The room we booked was large and very comfortable. About a half hour walk to Riks and Van Gogh Museums. Would high recommend this property.

The staff were always very helpful and very well mannered and friendly and welcoming. Their breakfast was well presented and lots of variety of choice. The rooms were very presentable and well cleaned every day with changed bedding and fresh towels. We would like to come here again in the future. The hotel is place where it is easy for walking distance to most of the sites and shops and museums. And has a regular tram service outside on the door step. Very easy to get to all the attractions.

Lovely and unusual room on the 5th floor. The staff was very attentive and the restaurant was a treat. Don’t miss the breakfast! Or the bar. Tram was across the street and another line a block away.
