This hotel is a scam. The worst money I’ve ever spent. This hotel room cost €500 per night and is worth maybe 100. We stayed at hotel estherea down the street and paid less money for a hotel that is easily ten times nicer. The room at Hotel Frank was up 3 extremely narrow flights of stairs that we could barely get our bags up. The room itself was dark, poorly lit, with only one small window. The wooden beam are so low I hit my head on the way in. I asked for a refund since i was not told about the stairs and since i was too big for the room and could barely see anything. They said it wasn’t possible, so I asked to speak with the manager and they said that’s not possible either since he is “not in Europe.” He said there is no mention of an elevator on the website so I should have known there would be only stairs… The guy at the front desk was very nice, but the lack of management, false marketing, and ridiculously high price point made this the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

We got room 105 I believe, the stairs are very steep and dangerous. The room was cute but those stairs aren’t worth the cuteness of the room. It feels like a ladder that was transformed into stairs.

It was really cool for being able to stay in the almost 400-year old building. The location was great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was very quiet at night due to the dual pane windows. Highly recommended .

Great renovated rooms in prime location!
Excellent location near Rembrandt Square in a building from 1666. We selected the attic room, which had delightful beams and a VERY steep staircase. The toilet and shower were very nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the hotel was quiet. Highly recommend!

The rooms are very cool and updated. The stairs were a little steep but that’s just how the buildings are there, I really like the uniqueness of it. I will definitely stay there again when I go back.

Bad odour in room
Lots of narrow stairs, room was clean but had a really bad odour. Staff came up right away said it was from shower and had to run water got a bit better but still had the odour. Hotel was full so had to live with it. Kept windows open. It’s a big room and bed was comfortable. We were on the first floor facing The square which can be noisy at night.

Great stay
