Casa de la Valle Luna Luxurious and Amazing Patio with Hot Tub and Fireplace

Casa de la Valle Luna is a luxurious and charming private residence nestled at the foot of the sacred Sangre de Cristo Mountains, conveniently located midway between the town of Taos and the Taos Ski Valley, near the charming, small town of Arroyo Seco. Opening onto acres of open fields with mountains near and far, Casa de la Valle Luna provides a revitalizing sense of peace and privacy. (Maximum Occupancy 8 Adults 2 Children)

A perfect blend of traditional charm and contemporary comfort, Casa de la Valle Luna combines authentic adobe and viga construction, floors of terracotta, brick, walnut, and oak, decorative tilework, and wood-burning Kiva fireplaces, with the modern comforts of radiant heat, hi-speed WiFi, Sonos-controlled music for each room, and satellite-linked HD TV's throughout.

Many say the most truly memorable feature of Casa de la Valle Luna is the expansive and beautifully landscaped patio, featuring an outdoor hot tub, wood-burning fireplace, built-in gas grill, and multiple seating areas. Facing sacred Taos Mountain, surrounded by acres of open fields, and shaded by a massive cottonwood tree and groves of aspen, you will be transported by the sunrise-to-sunset views, ever-changing cloudscape, and enchanting bird-song.

The Main House includes three private suites and a convertible media room/office, each situated in its own wing of the house, and each with its own bedroom, full bathroom (with beautifully tiled, walk-in showers,) and seating/lounge area. The Downstairs Master features a California King bed; the Mountain View Suite and the Patio Suite both have Queen beds; and the convertible media room has an American Leather Queen sofa/sleeper with a shockingly comfortable Tempurpedic mattress. One of the suites offers the option of a steam shower; one a two-person Jacuzzi tub; two have wood-burning Kiva fireplaces; and one includes a private patio. With over 4,500 square feet of indoor living space, the Main House is ideal for three couples, but can comfortably accommodate eight , if needed, plus a few kids/young teens on airbeds, or on the large kitchen window seat, or the love-seat in the Patio Bedroom.

For those "Big Chill" communal hangouts:
• The expansive, gourmet Kitchen offers all the conveniences needed to prepare a fabulous meal -- including a 6-burner gas cooktop, double-oven, warming drawer, dishwasher, and massive butcher-block island -- as well as a kitchen nook with window seat, TV, and small computer/task desk.
• The open-plan Living Room and Dining Room provide table seating for eight, a large Kiva fireplace, flexible seating groups, and a game table overlooking the main patio and the mountains.
• The Media Room/Office delivers big-screen, surround-sound viewing for your entire crew, and an office area for desk oriented work.
• The Exercise Room is a dedicated space for workouts, yoga, or stretching, with rubber gym flooring, exercise equipment, and TV.
• The large, 270-degree view Roof Deck satisfies desires ranging from sunset cocktails to fresh air meditation, with a wet bar and indoor table seating in the adjoining Café/Kitchenette.

NOTE: If you need additional space, or just want to indulge yourselves, please see the listing for Casa de la Valle Luna: Main House + Tower Suite. With an additional 900 square feet of indoor space, the Tower Suite offers a heightened level of privacy and luxury for your Taos experience. The Tower Suite may only be rented as an "add-on" to the Main House; it is not included in the rental of the Main House, and it may not be rented by itself.

Attention to detail

The house at Casa de la Valle Luna was better than advertised. It is as if the owners designed and built the house to be a vacation rental. There is a bathroom connected to each bedroom, and a main bathroom in the hall... and one in the den/office too! The bedrooms are all separated from one another, and each one is large and well appointed. The kitchen is awesome. There is nothing they didn't think about. My daughter wanted espresso and muffins - yup - they have an espresso maker and a muffin tin. And who has a full gym in their house? A nice, functional, well appointed gym? In a rental? With sonos music connected? The hot tub actually worked, and actually heated up to 104, and was clean! In fact, the spa guy showed up as we were checking out, and I suspect he was there just before we arrived - attention to detail! Every light switch was marked. Every kitchen drawer was labeled. Instructions were clear for internet, TV, Sonos music player, hot tub... everything - attention to detail. Even the toys/entertainment was top notch. Two of the jigsaw puzzles were unopened. Yes, we opened them, but still, new puzzles! Attention to detail. I am not sure who owns or operates this property, but it is beautiful, functional, clean, and unbelievably well thought out. It is both comfy and functional. Perfect for both right-brained and left-brained. We will not hesitate to stay here again, and we would reccommend this property to anyone staying in the Taos area.

Simply Perfect!

We stayed at Casa de la Valle Luna for six days and were amazed at what a beautiful and well appointed home this is! The three separate bedroom suites were perfect for our stay with our two adult daughters and their fellows, providing each couple with their own bedroom, bath, plus an individual sitting area when more privacy was desired. Each suite had access to an outdoor patio and a beautiful view of the mountains. The unique and beautiful artwork and colorful tiles and furnishings instantly lifts one’s spirit and creates a sense of peace and comfort. We loved the carved wooden beams, archways, and layout of the home. The kitchen had every cookware item and implement one could ever imagine which allowed us to make fabulous meals. The kitchen was so large that six of us could easily be working in there at the same time. The outdoor patio was spacious and we enjoyed using the grill, hot tub, and fireplace. The backyard was very private. There was plenty of fenced yard for our dogs to run around. The workout room allowed us a convenient way to keep fit after all the big holiday eating! The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on! The location was perfect for a trip to Taos Ski Valley, hiking along the Rio Grande, and downtown Taos. None of us wanted to leave this enchanting home and plan to stay there again the next time we visit the Arroyo Seco area!

Hidden Gem in Arroyo Seco

What a fantastic hidden gem just outside of Taos! The property is a little bit tricky to get to, but once there, it's like having your own private resort in the mountains. This home is so comfortable, inviting, and luxurious that we didn't want to leave. The mountain sky, landscape, and stellar sunsets are amazing. Every detail of the property is looked after by the owner and the host. The location in Arroyo Seco is fantastic, with great restaurants and shops nearby, as well as easy access to downtown Taos, the Taos Ski Valley, and Red River.

Pictures in this listing don’t do much justice to the absolute beauty of this property.

Everything about this property was amazing. The beauty of the landscape, location of the home and access to surrounding activities were excellent. Upon arrival entry was super easy and everything was super clean. Property manager and caretaker were super helpful. Will be looking for a reason in the future to return to this wonderful property.
