The distance from most of the restaurants in Avalon resulted in the ideal balance between walkability and peacefulness. Staff was great. Room was not modern and was nothing fancy, but that doesn't matter to me and the hotel/room had everything I needed. Pro tip: T-Mobile gets virtually no service on the island; make sure to take advantage of the remarkably speedy and reliable hotel wifi and preload your maps.

Rooms are adequate but run down. Beds not that comfortable, especially the studio couch. Kitchen door fell off hinges. Shower was wonderfully hot. Very convenient location. A little hard to pull our luggage up all those stairs and down. Has pluses and minuses. Don't expect luxury. Felt safe and was clean. Price was best and it was available during a very busy weekend.

This hotel property did not disappoint. It felt just like home. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We stayed for four days so it was nice knowing that the Von’s grocery store was down the street. Definitely would recommend.

Staff were very helpful. Facility is in need of upgrade. Couldn't sleep the first night because of noise from unit above. The floors are so squeaky so it's no fault of the tenneants. Ended up leaving after the first night althougn we booked two nights.

Cozy cottages tucked away from the main drag. Lovely courtyard with fountain greets you upon arrival. Lots of little tables and chair to enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine amongst lots of plants and trees.

The vibe was very quaint and similar feel of traveling abroad in a different country. Lots of Catalina has this feel, which is lovely. My only complaint is that the coffee machine was very poor quality and coffee in unit was not provided. It would have improved our stay if there was a small drip coffee machine with coffee provided in unit. We wanted to enjoy our balcony view in the morning but had to go out to get coffee and then come back for the view. The other aspect was the shower is small and for anyone larger in stature, it would be a very tight squeeze! We did enjoy our stay, the staff was friendly and the people staying at the location were all very kind. Just a few items could be improved!

Anniversary Trip
The peaceful property is in walking distance to everything. There are beautiful plants everywhere. We stayed in room 12. We liked the size of the room and it was clean; however there was noticeable water damage. Certain areas of the flooring (in the bathroom and living area) were wet during our entire stay. We could not walk around in our socks without getting them wet. The shower was also extremely small.

We came here for our anniversary and we loved how peaceful and beautiful everything looked. We had a cottage that was clean and loved our privacy. Definitely return here for any future trips to Catalina
