We rented the Red roof cabin at Lago Linda. It was very clean and comfortable. We had some rain but the huge porch and metal roof made it very nice. The staff are nice and very helpful. Our grill was low on gas. A nice guy brought us more. He wasn’t happy with one burner that was weak. He left and within 30 mins was back with another grill. They really do go above and beyond for their guests. I will be coming back.

It was our 2nd time there and it was just as great! We stayed in Breezy Pointe and it was so nice! We had 8 people and its made for 6 but we made due.
Great property, friendly hosts, loved the Anderson cabin. A hidden gem!

The property was great. Quaint little cabin by the lake. Staff was friendly and very helpful. It is a gravel road accessing the property which on a motorcycle can be a little nerve racking. Not for the novice motorcyclist.

Disliked: Amenities
The cabin was ok. Clean. Secluded kinda, there was a cabin right next door but didn’t see the people much. Stairs to get to shared bedroom so don’t being elderly or handicap. Shower was super small, husband is 6ft 230lbs barely fit. Kitchen was not equipped, one pot and it was burnt black on the bottom. No screens in the windows and flys were a huge issue.
Lake front, great view. A bit steep to walk down to the lake from the cabin. They offered kayaks, they had 3, one with a slow leak and my husband had to pull out twice to let the water out of the bottom. If we didn’t have a suv we would have had trouble getting down the drive to the cabin.
There was no one there to check us in, I had to call twice to get the door code and call to let them know we had left. They have a store/ cafe but it was never open all weekend. 1hr to closest Walmart or IGA for food. We made the best of it but probably won’t go back.
This is a lovely setting. The hosts respond quickly to email and requests. Properly is well maintained. The cabin kitchen is well outfitted for basic cooking. Quiet area as well.
All in all it was a great stay. I spent the weekend there by myself to grieve for my daughter who I lost a month ago. It was the most peace I’ve had in a long time.

This was my third trip to Lago Linda Hideaway. We stayed in the Joe Young cabin. The cabin had everything my girlfriend and I needed! Double bed bunk with upper twin, AC, cable, kitchenette with mini frig/freezer, hot
It would have been nice if the cabin had its own bathroom. The permanently stuck door that looked like a bathroom and the tv that wouldn't turn off and had no way of flipping channels freaked us out when we arrived at 3 am. Still the cabin was comfortable and everyone was lovely. If I could afford it, I would live in the writer's cabin for a month.

Clean and convenient to exploring the Gorge
Lago Linda was a very nice place to stay. We were in the Anderson house, no frills but very clean and cozy. The hosts were very nice and helped us replace some lightbulbs that were burned out.
Beautiful and quiet. Very scenic and secluded. Great for a weekend getaway. The particular cabin we stayed in was hard to get in and out of due to the hills but its doable. Definitely should have brought our own food bc its a winding 15-20 minutes to town for anything to eat. Very rustic experience. We had an overall good time. I'm sure its a popular spot in the warmer months. It was exactly what I was looking for though.

We enjoyed our stay at Lago Linda. We were visiting family members in Owsley County for the holidays when we stayed with them this time. They were very respectful of our diversity as members of the LGBTQIA community. They also allowed our pet, and we were very appreciative. Thanks again for your help and assistance as we visited our family members in Owsley County.

Great and affordable stay
We rented the Anderson for Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed the property and took hikes around the lake. Enjoyed taking kayaks out of the lake which were free to use. The Anderson is perfect for two people, queen size bed, bathroom and a mini kitchen with the essentials for cooking. We enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor area. The setting is private and beautiful. This was our second trip to Lago Linda. It’s a beautiful property with hiking trails that lead to a waterfall. The Lake is gorgeous! We will be back again, this is our favorite place to stay near Red River Gorge. Friendly Owners and staff!
