2025 Calendar Open! Three Night Summer Min!

A charming cottage in the heart of Union Pier with private beach access. Gables #5 is a cozy one bedroom one bath unit, with a surprising amount of light and openness. The common areas are on the main floor; galley kitchen, living room with sofa sleeper, dining area and reading nook. The bedroom is upstairs in a loft-like area, and has a full bed and full-size futon. There is a small outdoor patio out the back door of the unit. Walk to “Bud & Elsie’s Market”, “Timothy’s” restaurant, and a handful of other places in town. Located in Union Pier, a little over 2 blocks to the private beach, Gordon Beach.

**All Guests required to sign and return our Guest Occupancy Agreement.

**Minimum age of 25 years old to rent.

Lovely stay
We loved our stay. The cottage was very tidy and clean. The skylights make the space so light and airy. We found the steep, twisty stairs to the loft to be a bit challenging. For that reason only, we probably won’t stay in this exact cottage again. The private beach was amazing. It was well maintained, peaceful and beautiful. We hope to return to the neighborhood again.

Nice quiet rental property
The location was lovely. Nice landscaping. The only recommendation I would make would be to a railing at the curved portion of the stairs to the 2nd floor. The steps there are pie-shaped and if you have to go downstairs in the middle of the night, it could be a bit of a hazard. Otherwise, Clearly the community has plenty of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, etc. for the vacation crowd. Be advised though, it does get crowded on the weekend.

Adorable cottage! It’s a perfect place to stay and enjoy the area.
The cottage was comfy, cozy, and clean! A great place to stay for a small family to enjoy Lake Michigan and Warren Dunes! Also close to an Amtrak stop in New Buffalo. Hop on the train for a day trip into Chicago.

Delightful cottage in beautiful neighborhood
We had a wonderful time at the cottage, which was perfect for our little family. Clean and well-kept inside, we had all the amenities we could have needed (including some we didn't necessarily expect, like fast internet!). We loved walking to the private beach each day, and going to the gelato shop (Izzy's Bean + Gelato) up the street each night. Check in and out was painless, and everything was clearly explained. We had a great visit and hope to be back in future summers!

Relaxing Sister Getaway
My sister and I escaped for a few days while my niece was at camp. Our expectations were exceeded and then some. Location was perfect. Cottage was spotless and so cozy. We have a small family of 3, and this was the perfect place near the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to grill and make all the meals we had planned. Perfect for walking to the beach!

Little disappointing.
There wasn't the number 5 on cottage. Didn't know and 3 of us searching for the correct cottage. Microwave not working, slow drain in bathroom sink. Terrible sitting chairs outside. More for decoration than comfort. Bed pillows need to be replaced. Other than that it was ok

Relaxing getaway
The cottage is a short walk to the beach and a short walk to town. It’s a great location. The cottage is cozy and has everything u need for a comfortable getaway. My family of 4 stayed at the cottage. We have a 2 yr old and 4 yr old. It was the perfect set up for a small family. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay at the cottage.

Skylights!
So very summery - large skylights had sun streaming in or you could check whether the clouds were moving on, large windows looked out on trees - and wonderfully peaceful, and roomy for a townhouse. Even the landscaping added to the summery effect.

Perfect getaway!

Hidden Gem!!
We stayed for 3 days in this lovely cottage and I have to give a nod to the impeccable cleanliness of the accommodations. We appreciated the quality dishware and towels. There is a BBQ is a very new condition as well which we used one day for dinner. There are beach chairs, table, umbrella and a cart so bringing our things to the beach was a breeze. Location is perfect, close to both beach and Union Pier (cute bakery for coffee and rental shop for the latest hit ‘maui mat’ - highly recommend). We brought our bikes and biked to New Buffalo which is so close. We would definitely be back, We know where we will spent our next summer weekends if they have availability! LOVED IT!!
