Overall, this place was a huge dissapointment. From beggining to end there were issues with our stay. However, our concierge Alondra was *wonderful*
Check-in is disorganized and confused. The clerk seemed to be stressed while checking us in and it took a long time. When the lady Michele took us to our room, other people were staying inside. We then had to sit at the bar, with our luggage, for 2 hours while they tried to find us a room to stay in. This is unacceptable - I pre-paid for the rooom (w/private pool) months in advance. It should have been reserved for us.
What makes me angry is I overheard during check-in two other guests who were offered upgraded rooms. You should not be handing out upgrades if you haven't accounted for the rooms already reserved.
Other major issues with Nobu Cabo:
1. Prepare to spend a TON of money on food. There are no affordable food options and this place is secluded, so you can't go anywhere else. I'm talking $30 nachos, $40 burger, $ 30 guac and chips. If you ever go to breakfast, prepare to spend at least $80 for 2 people. If you stay for several days you will be paying at least 1,000 USD for food
These people claim that the prices are "competitive". They are not and this is a lie.
2. The waiters and staff do not provide good customer service
3. Because of poor design, this property is extremely windy. At the beach and the pools.
4. Aggressive FLIES swarm your food if you eat outside. They can't fix it. Flies in your guacamole
