I am sorry to not give a 5 star review, which I prefer to do. Here are some my review points, I hope GR Solaris can improve to make it a better hotel: 1. Rooms I used my gold onekey card of Expedia to book this hotel for two lagoon view rooms. When we checked in, the reception gentleman assigned us both rooms to 1st floor, which were totally without any view and one 's view is even totally block by a wall and it is just opposite to the elevator. We could not fall to sleep because of the noise until 1:00am every day or we were too exhausted. I am sorry, but when there is not any view, you can not announce/sell them as lagoon view ones and charge as a lagoon view room. People think they are cheated. 2. Restaurants It is very hard to book the restaurant but the buffet.

I would not recommend booking here. We had a horrible experience. The staff was unfriendly, there wasn’t any daily entertainment as promised. The food was horrible. We ended up leaving the resort to get decent food. The pools were freezing and the elevator system to get around was frustrating. I would not recommend this resort as a family friendly place. I would look elsewhere. Definitely not a 5 star resort as it states.

- OLD BUILDING: so much maintenance going on. Leaking toilet, clogged bathroom. A lot of noise from plumbing and construction - NO SUNLIGHT: a big building is being constructed just over this hotel space and shadows the pool and half of the beach for most of the day - BAD FOOD: THE WORST EVET DINING EXPERIENCE. Very basic food an dyet not fresh. Some basic options are missing. For example there is no bacon, sussage or hashbrown for the breakfast. And if you tip the waiter they bring you a small plate from the back. Lol. for Christmass dinner the food was teriible - very impolite resyuran staff and security: we were a group of 8 people and they never let us sit together. Always two or three separate table across the resturant. When we complained about this they tried to be even more impolite and rude. Very very rude resturant staff (except for the waiters) - VERY UNSAFE: people were stealing our things in the hotel area. We lost 4 glasses, some personal gadgets like speaker, ... - the worst thing was that this hotel is surrounded by very big buildings under construction and aside from noise you wonts see the sun unless you go to beach and move away from this hotel

Terrible experience. We paid extra for a room with view only to find out the view is a large construction project next door. One of the elevators was out of service for the entire week causing a line up and 5 min each way just to get into the elevators. Staff was rude and explicitly asked for tips to do any basic service. Food was very limited and the same everyday in the buffet. There was a line to get into the buffet. Staff rudely rejected any request for larger parties to sit together. This was my 18th all-inclusive stay and hands down the worst experience. Avoid this place.

I did not get the room I reserved, I've chosen a room with two double beds instead I got one King size bed. The room they gave us was next to a construction site which was noisy and view was obstructed not having the full ocean view we thought we would enjoy. When going into the balcony the air was dusty and debris would fly from the construction site. The buffet food was everyday almost the same and some dishes from the day before, bread not fresh, and especial restaurants with waiting list. In the pool area there was no jacuzzis or hot tubs, the pools were crowded and the bar drinks came in re-usable plastic cups which in some occasions they had teeth bites and cracks. Very nasty way to serve watered and horrible tasting mixed drinks. Not enough good entertainment made the days boring and wishing to come back home sooner. If you ask me if we would go back there my answer is a definitely NOT EVER!

The staff was very lovely, attentive, and it was very clean. The room was clean and comfortable with an amazing ocean view. All staff spoke great English. There are only 3 small elevators in the hotel so going to and from your room was always an annoying wait.

The staff was very friendly!! Many of the facilities were under repair like one of the elevators ( really slowed things down) the marina and kayaking was under repair, and the outdoor whirlpool was down. Also the hotel app was bad and hard to reserve dinner reservations.

A new Hotel is being built on the south side of this property, it is so tall it blocks the sun off of the swimming pool. The restaurants only cater to membership customers so its unlikely you will obtain an reservation. The elevator situation was extremely slow with many long lines.

Hotel was in good condition and in great location. Next door construction meant our panoramic view room’s one window had to stay closed all the time. Adjoining door meant noise from next door bothered us all evening. The buffet food and staff was great. All the other restaurants were fully booked the moment we arrived. Got on waitlist at Chinese restaurant and the food was sub par. We had Korean ramen and pad Thai and they weren’t remotely close to what they should have tasted. Portions were also tiny. The restaurant was half empty and yet fully booked.
