While the exterior and lobby were clean, the main pool with swim up bar was filthy with tons of stuff floating in it.
Additionally, the hallways leading to the rooms were very different from the lobby area where you check in. No AC, lots of sanding and paint thinning going on??
Room was super in need of upkeep repairs, TV was hanging off mount and wall, blanket had stains. Chair on patio broken.
Biggest reason for low score is the food. All of it with exception of the steakhouse on the last night was awful. Very bland, I was shocked at the Mexican restaurant. Nothing had flavor. Italian restaurant was even worse. I will never do an all inclusive location again based on this hotel experience alone.
Drinks were watered down and barely had any alcohol throughout hotel, poolside, beach side or restaurant then asked for referrals to local authentic Mexican tacos since none were to be found inside any of the restaurants onsite and were sent to an even blander location. Overall terrible experience.
For some reason the coffee bar and pastry stand opens at 10 AM and had people lined up sitting waiting for it to open every day... Given most coffee drinkers need coffee at wake up... You could get some at the sports bar... Just didn't make much sense. Everyone was confused about that daily.
Saving grace is that proximity to the beach and that hotel is on the most powdery white sand and crystal clear waters... But overall... Would not repeat a stay here.
