We don’t know about you, but one of our favourite things to do is go where we’ve never been before. So how about stopping by Castricum? A suburb of Alkmaar - North-Kennemerland, you’ll find it 13 kilometres southwest of the downtown area. Many people make their way via Schiphol Airport, which is the nearest terminal. From there, Castricum is a journey of 30 kilometres to the north.

There are a number of attractions of note to see in the immediate area, such as J.C.J. van Speijk Lighthouse and Noordhollands Duinreservaat. Neighbourhoods are often among the most interesting parts of a city, so why not see a few of them while you're here? Akersloot, Heiloo and Egmond aan Zee are close by.

Dress head to toe in red and white, take off to AFAS Stadium and enthusiastically cheer on the AZ Alkmaar. A trip to this venue is compulsory for true soccer fans!
