The audio on the tv was too difficult to understand. Not enough selection on the tv. The office was not impressive. The room was small but it was clean.

Only thing was that early AM risers in our row of room were very loud and talking a lot around 7.30AM. It seemed as if they may have been workers who were staying there and getting ready to leave to their work in the area. Much too loud!!! Perhaps recommending a "Quiet Time" for guests to observe, perhaps from 9PM through 9AM would be helpful for guests who like me, came here to really rest and expect to sleep in as long as possible.

My husband and I have found the Elkhorn lodge to be a home away from home. We are rerired and have a great time visiting with other retired visitors. The beauty of nature and peaceful atmosphere is very relaxing. We sit on the porch and see deer wandering near by. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful stay.

Arrived around 11pm. We were visiting to ride the train the next day. Gps took us to the restaurant, the motel is actually one property to the right. Our room number was 31. Neatly arranged simple cabins with minimal extras. Glad we had our own toilet paper as theres was a commercial dispensar that only released one square at a time. Empty soap dispenser and not many outlets available for plugging in electronics. The main thing I must have missed about this place is that there is NO AC. We arrived at night so it wasnt bad, but by the time we woke up it was so muggy. For 90$ we got what we paid for, which was fine. The hotel hostess did message me back with answers to my questions and that was wonderful. Elk horn lodge is a simple place to rest your head. Loved tbe pillows. Hated the super low shower head.

This was great for a "rustic" cabin at a budget price. Not luxurious at all, but that's what rustic cabins are about. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful nature in the area, and the train ride nearby is a must. Not much in terms of eateries in the area, so pack a cooler.

The room was outdated but appropriate for the ambience. However as a grandma and granddaughter, i felt uncomfortable leaving the windiws open all night. It was a hot day and only a fan in the room blowing the hot air around. Grandma did not sleep well. No body soap in dispensor or at the sink.

Nice, Clean, and Quiet!!
Our visit was wonderful. Nice and Quiet! Best part the porch is large enough, no early morning sun shining in! Very clean room, comfortable beds, and a good small selection of channels for the little bit of TV we watched. I am 6'2" and weigh too much. The spacing for the commode, toilet paper, and tub was very skimpy. Good thing I was not any larger! Being tall, the shower head was at its highest position, directly mid-chest. My wife fit perfectly! I was able to get cleaned up. Maybe the next repair would be one of those "Ess" shaped chrome pipes that raise the shower head about 10 inches. Aah, curse of being tall!! LOL! We would stay there again!

Great cabin. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice cabin. A bit of road noise as our cabin was closest to the road but not bad. Wifi intermittently was off and on. A few housekeeping things noted: silverware drawer/tray was a little dusty but i washed them both. Very narrow corner of floor between bathroom sink and tub needed a little extra cleaning. Very comfy bed, great and clean frig, and perfectly adequate kitchen essentials. FYI no microwave but that was not necessary for us. We brought our own fan and, along with the fan provided in the cabin, it was perfectly cool (no AC in the cabin).
