Wow, and then "Make yourselves at home!" was my first impression as I entered the house.
The large screened porch was our (and the dog's) favorite place, whether reading, eating, or just sitting back and listening to the birds sing, enjoying the view, and feeling the marvelous mountain breeze. It was so quiet, I seriously thought something was wrong with my hearing.
It's private but there are neighbors nearby.
Communication with the owner, Joe was superb. No cell service at the house, but there is a landline. WiFi was very adequate. We didn't even turn on a TV, but did enjoy some of the extensive variety of records and CD's. The outdoor chiminea was fabulous, with firewood provided.
You can't beat the location if you plan to hike or visit the parks, waterfalls, and surrounding towns. Being in the mountains, expect some winding roads to reach the 3000+ foot elevation of the house, especially from the southern approach!
Thank you, Joe and Margaret...we enjoyed our stay at your comfortable lovely mountain home!!
