Check-in and check-out was great. Staff was wonderful. The linens, bathroom, and what could be attended to daily was clean. The odor upon entering room 110 was of very strong cat urine. The carpet throughout the hotel is all very worn and dirty looking. Granted, it was probably a "pet" room and we had our dog with us, BUT if you want excellent reviews, something has to be done about that odor and the carpeting. It states in the pet policy, that is signed upon arrival, cats are strictly forbidden in the hotel, but it's painfully obvious there have been cats in the past there. I know what a male cat spraying smells like. It is BAD, and the carpet feels sticky by the door to the room and the bathroom. We appreciated the value of the room, the kind staff, the great breakfast and the clean linens, bathroom and surfaces above the carpeting. I wanted to be honest and hope that someone sees this and does something. Thank you!
