We ere visiting Starkville for the first time and needed a place for 1 night. This was a great spot to rest and crash for the night. The staff was very considerate and responsive and the room was simple and elegant. We will definitely stay here again if back in Starkville.

We love the character of the Hotel Chester. The location is convenient, and parking was no problem on the street. We had a view of the main street. It was nice to be able to regulate the temperature. The bathroom, though tiny, was just fine. In-room coffee is fine, but it's weak if you follow the instructions. Breakfast is a "grab-and-go bag" that includes water, raisins, granola bar, and Rice Krispy treat, but there were also bagged pastries available. Our only complaint was that the mattress was hard, overly firm, so our backs hurt. Otherwise, we recommend Hotel Chester. Personnel are all friendly and helpful.

Absolutely charming and above average comfort level. This historic hotel has been beautifully restored with replica period pieces without sacrificing modern convenience. The location downtown is convenient to restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day

Quaint hotel that deserves a chance. Hotels like this are hard to find. Has a vibe that is not like the cookie cutters off the interstate.
