This is a fun, quirky property, but at the end of the day it is a basic motel. It suited my needs for an overnight stay. I was a little disappointed in the room decor. I expected more decorations fitting the theme. Most of the decor seemed to be pictures hung on the wall that somewhat related to the theme of the room.

Cute concept but needs updating and better cleaning. Our shower walls were dirty with red soap scum and mold. The hot water handle was loose. There were multiple broken floor tiles in the room. Breakfast was nothing special not sure what others thought was great. It was some pastries, toast items, cereal and frozen items like waffles, burritos and sausage pancake sticks. We tried to eat but the lack of protein options caused us to stop shortly down the road trip for food. It was a great price but I just wish it was a little better condition. We are split on whether we’d return as the beds were comfy

Amazing stay! Highly recommend staying here! Rooms are themed by year from about 1950 to 1980. Due to the the dates theming, they still use actual keys for the rooms... So cool! Even though theming from the past, air conditioning was excellent for the hot day we were there, was about 98 degrees.

We loved the Retro Inn! My kids especially loved the game room and big chess set. We ate just down the road at lounging lizard which they recommended and it was delish. Would recommend Retro Inn if you are looking for something unique to Cortez.

Loved everything about this motel. Completely updated, clean, and comfortable. Great price and I love parking right outside my room. Continental breakfast was awesome. Game room well furnished. Convenient to restaurants. We stayed a night after a visit to Mesa Verde. Highly recommend staying here.

The place was surprisingly good for a motel. I usually never do a motel but the reviews and the retro theme sucked me in. Bwd was comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast was the standard boring breakfast and nothing to write home about. I would stay there again if i go to Cortez again

Super cute retro hotel. Cat friendly, thank you!!! Lots of fun to be had on the property. Games, swings, seating areas. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Was able to leave our totes on the back of the jeep. Safe area. Alittle street noise, but expected. Lots of food options in walking distance. Friendly staff. Would absolutely stay again if in the area.

It's very cute!

Fantastic, adorable, great communication from the front desk, easy in and out. We only stayed for the night but the price was decent for one night. I love the circle of bench swings. I want one of those at my house for summer nights!!! Very cute place!
