The best in the trip was the service that the people supplied. I give 10 out or 10 to the team in the restaurant. The lady in the reception was friendly and efficient. We will comeback to this resort for the people.

Absolutely beautiful! Everyday they had different activities on the resort day and night. I loved the acess to the beach and the view was just breathtaking. I would choose Allego everytime I visit Cozumel.

The property was in a quiet location, which was nice. The property is dated and needed more restaurants with no restrictions on how many times you could eat there. It would have been nice for more tables and chairs. There needed to be lighting at the beach so you could walk by it at night.

Please don’t stay at the allegro or any hotel affiliated w the Barcelo group. We booked a trip and our flight was canceled by the airline bc of a hurricane. We contacted the hotel who said if we didn’t show it would be considered a no show even though it was out of our control. We rebooked for two days later and the flight again was canceled. We spoke to the hotel and asked for our room to be rebooked for the following week. They said that they were flexible but Expedia had to contact them. Expedia supposedly contacted them numerous times and they denied a change in dates even though they had availability. Then denied a refund and/or credit. We were not able to get to the island until a week after our trip. The hotel essentially stole our money w no remorse or empathy whatsoever. We just wanted a change so we could celebrate with our family. They refused to do it and stated that the hurricane was not their problem. Horrible and very disappointing customer service. Dont know how a huge corporation like Barcelo conducts business in this manner. Makes no sense.

Solid resort. Know that if you go when it’s hot, it’s HOT. Body’s still recovering a week later. That’s not really their fault at all. Food is only okay at best and buffet room over the checkin desk where everyone has dinner can be sweltering. Other restaurants are great. Staff is wonderful, beach is beautiful. We should have taken part in more activities, as this is what a lot of people love here. Kids loved the splash pad and other two pools are fine.

First time visit to the area: Had a great stay at Allegro. Food options could be better. Excursions were easy to book - I do NOT recommend the free Tequila Tour (Cedral). The snorkeling tour was awesome! A lot of opportunities to have quality family time. The Rooms were adequate- they need deep cleaning and updating, The best part of the stay was staff member Arbey Aguilar … he made us feel included and special…. We would come back to Allegro…

Not a resort for foodies... Easy choice for divers
Allegro Cozumel was our base camp for a guys diving trip. The location on the southern side of the west coast put us a short boat ride from some of the best dive sites that Cozumel has to offer. The Allegro staff are all fantastic. Friendly and ready to assist with any concern. Be aware- even though we had booked a room with 2 beds, if you are less than 3 people- the resort gives you a room with 1 king bed. As we are 2 adult males, their solution was to bring in an old rusty roll away frame and a twin mattress which worked for a short stay, but made the room quite cramped. The pools and grounds are very well maintained and there are plenty of activities for all ages. Quantity of available food was always easy to find, but the quality is lacking. Fresh fruits and salads are great. Most everything else was either VERY salty or had no seasoning at all. Allegro expects most guests to eat most meals at the main buffet or in the pool buffet. During our visit, buffet tables were easy to secure. The Allegro and Hotels.com website boast about available "al a carte" dining options and great variety of food choices. These claims are VERY misleading. There are lots of rules about the better dining. Not all options are open every night. Reservations are required, but guests are limited on how many and when you can reserve. Reservation rules: 1. No reservations night of arrival 2. Only 1 reservation for 4 night stay In summary- good resort for families and divers.
"Quiet Pool" often full of small children.
All rooms are steps away from a pool.
Calm wide sandy beach. Lots of chairs, but limited shade. Lots of biting bugs in the sand.

Had a great week at the Allegro. Third time in CZM but first time at the Allegro. Beach area is fantastic. Our room was nice and comfortable and quiet at night. Dining options are a bit limited based on some other places BUT we thought the food was good every day. We would definitely come back.

We stayed in the second floor room the ac could not cool down the room at all. Noise from the outside and Nextdoor neighbors could be heard clearly in the room. Bars close down at 5pm. No waiters at all, you had to walk to a bar for a drink. You had to dry your self to get a bit to eat at the pool side restaurant. First night ac turned off in room, killed two cockroaches on the curtains. Ask for a new room immediately. On fourth day again one more cockroach in the room, and decided that was enough. Left the hotel the next day. The only good thing in this hotel is the beach, loved the beach. Will not recommend this hotel, maybe just for One day pass to enjoy the beautiful beach.

-We Loved It! We have stayed at Allegro 3 times over the past 6 years, hotel property is beautiful! You will be immersed in the tropical environment. Buildings are open to outside air so when eating you'll be exposed to the conditions of the day so it's hot/humid when dining. We didn't mind at all. Rooms are small yet meet just what you need to cool down/shower/rest and are surrounded by lots of gorgeous tropical vegetation. The hotel was all-inclusive. The food was great, bars/drinks were great. Kids will enjoy the splash pad, bring inflatable mat for kids to go down slide faster they will go nuts! Multiple pools with bars for adults. beach was heaven. Relax, swim, drink cold beverage, and repeat. Lizards/iguana/mongoose/occasional hermit crab stroll by. Taxis are everywhere for you do roam about/shop. Wonderful people working hard everywhere you go. Loved it!
