This is a challenging place for anyone with mobility issues. I asked for a room on the main floor to avoid stairs. I phoned ahead to make sure. I was told they had everything prepared for me. On arrival I found stairs in all directions. She jokingly responded with,”It’s just a few steps, not stairs.” Very difficult.

Tried to charge us an extra 50 dollars for two adults even though the price was the same on Expedia for 1 or 2 adults. Very strong accents so communication was difficult. The hot tub was not working but they didn’t tell us that until we asked. Shower did not keep an even temperature

I felt sorry for the front desk employee. The hotel ice maker, pop machine and hot tub were not working. And he did not know how to do my Expedia account. He charged me a higher rate. It was his first day and he had no help. Our rooms were great

The pool and hot tub were quite dirty, things floating in the hot tub. The floor around the bathroom was dirty and I didn’t want to walk around barefoot in there. Room was ok, flies flying around. 4 guests and we’re given 2 towels. No shampoo or conditioner, just a bar of soap in the room. Breakfast was good, except the day we were given a bagged breakfast as the Monday was a holiday and no staff were working to cook. The breakfast consisted of a frozen breakfast sandwhich, green banana, a badly bruised pear, grandpas bar that was very hard, and an expired drink. Did not touch any of it, and was quite disappointed. Asked front desk staff for a bandaid after cutting finger on door and they couldn’t find one. I assumed most hotels would have a first aid kit.

I stayed for 3 nights and it was as expected. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were nice to have although were a bit busy when I went. Breakfast was included and was pretty standard. I enjoyed my stay and the staff were kind and courteous.

Overnight stay on the road home
We have stayed many nights at the Heritage Inn on our way back home from Vancouver Island. The rate for an overnight stay is very economical with a Breakfast included. Our stay was comfortable and quiet. I was a little disappointed there was no shampoo in the washroom. The service in the restaurant, front desk and lounge were great.

The walls are paper thin! We could hear conversation (not actual words), toilets flushing, water running and the floor above was squeaky along with every footstep. The hot tub water was in dire need of cleaning.
