It felt like an authenticity of the old Dubai. Lovely area, clean, safe and hospitable. If you have not seen this area you haven't seen Dubai. Breakfast was delicious and a very nice setting. Staff was also accommodating in every way. Would go there again!

I loved this hotel. The decor is very atmospheric, a real throwback in time. The staff was great – extremely helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole neighborhood. Highly recommend this hotel.

Loved this hotel. It's actually over a number of buildings, my room was in building 2, above a souk. Gorgeous rooms. Short walk to water ferry to cross to gold souk. Fabulous breakfast. Pool is located at a different Hilton a short ride away via hotel golf cart. Quiet hotel, comfy beds, good shower, fridge in room, aircon remains on even when you're out which is a bonus when it's 40 degrees. Would love to come back sometime.

Good and dynamic hotel
Overall a great hotel experience which I would rate a superior to the generic high rises in the “modernist” part of the city. Trendy, good value, exciting along the creek and good transit access with the ferries. However, it has some oddities. It is a decentralized hotel with rooms scattered along the long waterfront district. Things like the pool and gym are actually located at their “sister hotel”a shuttle bus away - so not really “accessible”. Also it’s not actually old, but merely designed and decorated to be “historic”. Which they did fairly well. However, it’s not “authentic”.

Old town Dubal Al Seef
Great location in old Dubai! Hotel is spread over a large area but there is trolly service between buildings. Bathroom shower is fantastic but no towel racks is awkward. Room temperature was difficult to regulate but finally figured it out. Staff is wonderful and we would stay again if visiting this part of Dubai. We were in a flood in Dubai. That was a surprise!

Great hotel conveniently located, bad shower head
Loved the old feel of the hotel with modern amenities. The building for my unit was a bit far and hard to find by myself, although the first time, the porter drove me to the room so it was fun to drive through the market. I had a hard time finding it by myself the second time and had to ask one of the security guards in the market, who was super kind and helpful, even walked me to my building. The only negative thing was the shower head didn't stand properly so it was awkward to shower but otherwise, happy with my stay. Service was good but not stellar.

Anniversary Getaway
My husband and I chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the old Dubai charm and decor of the hotel. We truly felt transported back in time. Walking around to all the shops and cafes was an unexpected treat. The staff was amazing. Despite the system being down at check in, they were professional, patient, and accomodating to all guests (even the rude one!) The ladies in reception honored my request of a room away from the noise. The room was comfortable overall, but I do wish the pillows were a bit firmer (personal preference...not a slight against the hotel). There was damp odor to the room, but nothing that couldn't be overlooked. We will definitely stay here again and I plan on bringing family next time.
