I booked this hotel on the fly while in Cimarron, New Mexico, after starting the day in Gallup, New Mexico, and visiting Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos, and I was running late, with insult added to injury by losing another hour at the New Mexico/Texas border. I arrived around around 10:30 p.m., was efficiently checked in, got a great night's sleep, and found breakfast ready to go at 6:00 a.m., including Texas-shaped waffles. Many thanks!

DO NOT STAY HERE! Trust me!!!!! Nasty/dirty/broken
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Garbage on floor, open soda can on AC unit, bathroom door didn’t open or close fully, which I found out is because when you run the shower the head is so high it points directly at the wall across from it and sprays water about the side and flooded the bathroom and that’s why the tiles are lifting too. Smelled bad and bathroom light fixture cover was also broken and just sitting on the shelf of “closet”. Ghetto, nasty, and “free breakfast” was empty by 8:15 and the house cleaner walked in on me without knocking at 8:30 and said oops and walked out! Thank god I was dressed!! Complained to hotels.com since hotel wouldn’t give me business card for manager and they told hotels.com too bad I already stayed there (got there at 1:30am last night from road trip from out of state) and were there less than 8 hours .. we would have left sooner but it was the middle of the night and kids were tired.

I made reservations for a king size room. When I showed up to check-in, I was told they only had one available on the second floor. They do not have an elevator so would have had to haul luggage up a flight of stairs or opt for a smoking room on the first floor. I opted to absorb the prepaid room charge and go to a different hotel.

Our bathroom didn’t have a shower head and it appeared as though it was being remodeled. The front desk lady had no idea.

The non-smoking room I reserved smelled so bad of smoke. I’m pretty sure it was not non-smoking. It was in the sheets, drapes, carpet, etc. The room we were in was surrounded by people that live there full time and seemed sketchy. When we first arrived the people on the second floor were cooking on their grill outside of their room. You could see the flames from the parking lot. My niece moved the pillows on her bed and found dead bugs. It was disgusting and all of us felt unsafe. We even pushed the chair in front of the door just to be safe because the swinging lock think that you have on the inside was so lose my husband tried using a key to tighten the screws.
