What a great find! A really lovely place to stay, great room, excellent, quiet location, stunning gardens and a very warm welcome from the hosts.

We felt that the owners were not enthusiastic hosts. We were not shown half the facilities shown on the website, jut our room and the breakfast room. The breakfasts were average to poor (a dreadful poached egg ruined the smoked salmon it was served with). The TV in our room did not work, the picture was pixellated on all channels..

Wonderful and charming place! We really liked our room, which was cosy and lovely decorated. The hosts were very nice, gave as plenty of tips where to go and what to see. It was a memorable stay!

Ideal stop over
Nice place to stay location was good but all nearby pubs have closed. Therefore it is a drive to get evening meal. Parking is limited if busy. Breakfast was good.

Great Country Guesthouse!
Lovely setting and the room was clean and a good size. The owner was friendly and their 3 dogs made it feel like home!! I was recommended a pub not too far from the guesthouse - The Red House and the food and staff were great. Breakfast was also delicious. I would highly recommend staying here and I will be staying here again for sure 👍

HARD TO FIND THE PROPERTY. WEB PICTURES ARE OF THE BACK OF THE PROPERTY WHILST THE FRONT OF THE PROPERTY IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO THE WEB SITE. GOOD SIZE ROOM - HEARTY BREAKFAST - GOOD SHOWER - V. NICE GARDENS - CLEAN BUT FOUND BLOOD ON THE TOP BED COVER.- PARKING O.K. JUST - V. SMALL VILLAGE - PRICE MAY BE SLIGHTLY TOO HIGH. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

We stayed for a wedding at the Vineyard which was very close by. This is delightful period farmhouse not your usual soul less chain type. If this is what you enjoy then it is definately a great place to stay. Breakfast was really good quality.

Quaint countryside stay
The Rookwood Farmhouse is very quaint. The owners of the house have lived there for a long time and have recently converted it into a B&B. It has a very homely feel. The room I was staying in had a password for wifi that I couldn't connect to as the connection was too weak - it was too late for me to request a different password but it would be good if the owners could check that the wifi reaches all rooms.

Friendly country house
Not really a farmhouse but a nice historical house and annex with a lovely garden. My room in the annex was in very good condition, comfortable with a great bed and bahroom and had a homey shared lounge, kitchen and even clothes washing facilities. Hosts were very solicitous and hospitable although they seemed a little overworked and some details were not 100%. There were many dogs. My door and the door of the other room in the annex did not muffle much sound between them so privacy was not ideal. However generally a very pleasant stay.
