The check-in process was smooth, and the room was clean upon arrival. However, I did notice a moldy smell when I turned on the air conditioner, which was a bit unpleasant. Aside from that, the breakfast was decent and had comfortable stay

Wonderful stay!
A wonderful place to stay! The staff is very friendly and answered all questions we had. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is smaller, but was very good. I had one personal issue the last morning, when I explained it at checkout, I was immediately asked if I was okay and if any help was needed. 5 stars isn't enough!!!

For a “dog friendly” hotel, there is no safe areas to walk the dog. The rock areas for landscaping are like shale and cut his paws, and then I was told by the front desk clerk I could walk him out back where there are no lights and she even said “but keep in mind this is rattlesnake season and there are some out there”. There is no front desk staff present during the night. At all. I find that quite unsettling. It’s clear this hotel is a renovation that was badly rushed… first time in 20+ years I’ve been in a hotel that doesn’t have curved shower curtain rods, and the tub was so slick I almost slipped in it! No texture or anything to keep that from happening. The tissue box was 2 shy of empty, stray hairs in the bathroom upon checkin… the list goes on. I won’t be staying there again!

Elkotel does a great job of providing the area with a place that is fresh and modern. The lobby is attractive and spacious, and the front desk staff was very nice. The rooms were decent overall. There were some spot on the walls that looked like they missed the second coat, and the floors were very dirty. Otherwise, the bathroom and bed was very clean, and there is a lot of space to lounge and do business in the room. Perfect for a one night stay-cation for me and my wife!
