Good base for seeing the redwood forests
The hotel was nicely centered between the places we wanted to see in the redwoods and people there were very nice. I would recommend this hotel for people who want to explore the area.

The sheets on both beds were stained in a way that I was not sure if they had been washed or soiled after washing. The walls were so thin the snoring from the next room woke me up in the middle of the night.

There were at least two cars that were being worked on and the area around them was junkie looking. The room smelled awful- musky and bad. The front desk girl was super nice.

It was quiet, not fancy but nicely updated. What I hated was the smell of Fabreze in the rooms. Vile, and so unnecessary. Clean smells clean. Deliberately filling the space with artificial fragrance is offensive, and a serious health issue for many people.

Good Place to Stay
Overall, Westward Inn is a good place to stay while visiting Redwood National and State Park. Check-in was good as I was greeted. Although the location is on the highway, there was no noticeable noise. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure for shower was excellent. My complaints are the ice maker wasn't working and the white towels were dingy.
