I was impressed that i was only paying $88 a night for a night in a place with decent ratings. The online check in was nice and cinvenient. However, upon arrival, the front desk attendant was not very welcoming or friendly. Once we got to the room, we were suprised at how small it was, and there was some sort of moldy or mildew odor. We didnt say anything as we looked around we realized the olace was very outdated and just assumed that was part of the issue. Within 15 minutes of arrival there was a continuous bark from a dog in the room next door. We were unable to nap, and got up and left. That night we tried the pool out and it was kind of gross. Very small, and we realized quickly we were not in a great part of town, and felt quite uncomfortable. We then had the barking dog again for several hours. We wont be back.

Cheaper pet friendly place and it shows
We have been staying in this hotel for years. It pet friendly at a reasonable price, but seems to have really gone downhill the past year or so. Lot of little things need fixing.

Friendly staff, clean room, decent breakfast, and good coffee. There was a bit if traffic noise from the highway, but i could drown it out with the air conditioner. Overall, my stay was pleasant and i will book my room here the next time i visit northwest Alabama.

The AC was cooling but not like i like. The carpet was old and dirty. The paint in the room was bulked and about to peeling like it had water damage. The front desk staff was NOT rude but could have smiled and not so cut and dry with attitude. Breakfast -hot items did not look appealing. I will not stay here again

Couple of small problems, but good bargain.
Don't act surprised when I ask about the pool that's advertised with the room. It was closed. "Will it be open tomorrow?" "I don't know." That's not a good answer. Also, breakfast starts at 6 means I should be able to start eating at 6, not waiting for you to finish putting it out for another 5 minutes. I had someplace to be and no real leeway, but you made me feel like I was in your way. Check in was friendly enough, room was great, and the breakfast was great once available!

Very friendly and helpful staff, carpet needed better cleaning. Had a smoker in room next door (this facility is totally non-smoking) but staff was quick to resolve the situation). My suggestion would be to have a policy where anyone in violation of the rule would be charged an extra $150 to cover cleaning costs and to post the notice in the rooms.
