Location is great, we've stayed here many times, and it was clean so thats great, but we wont be staying again.
We got there early and went to just leave our bags. When we went back to see if a room had become available they told us we could upgrade our rooms for $35 a night each. We were absolutely exhausted so we went for it. What they didn't tell us is that we were being "upgraded" into an unfinished area of the hotel. There were holes in the headboard that hadn't been filled yet, and the pillows on the bed were legitimately the width of a toddler pillow - zero exaggerations - so we kept rolling off them in the night, but above all else - there was the drilling. After we'd already checked in and were trying to enjoy our trip we saw the signs posted in the elevators about rennovations but no one thought to mention this to us before asking us for EXTRA money to put us in these rooms which we couldn't even sleep in when we wanted to. The bare minimum you can ask from a hotel room surely? The drilling started just before 10am each morning so we couldn't sleep in past that or enjoy time relaxing in our room, and you couldn't nap later on because it continued all the way through the day. These "upgraded" rooms also have absolutely zero charm, it feels like a cheap airport hotel. Didn't want to ruin our trip further by having to waste time at the desk so just got on with it. Overall very disappointing.
