Don't do it alone.
It's not bad for the price but as a solo woman traveling it doesn't feel safe. The hotel is really a motel with a biker bar in the middle. (at least thats all you hear all night coming in and out) so if you're wanting to walk back from the tiki bar to your room, be mindful of who is around walking. I was woken up multiple times throughout both nights by bikes & men literally against my window/door. I barely slept I was so scared. The bar is cool with music etc but if you're looking for somewhere to relax & read by the pool this isn't it. The tub had two roaches in it during my two night stay as well lol so pick your poison there. It's cheap & "historical" but you'll get what you pay for.

Not sure what makes this place a "resort"....it,s more like a motel with a pool and bar....the room was clean but all they have are old motel style ac so the room and everything in it was wet all the time...check in is i guess only from 8ish to 3ish...so if your flight comes in late you will have issues....the neighborhood around it is pretty run down...no view of anything unless your lucky enough to get right in front of the pool....the bar had a band but nobody told us so we got back right when they quit....they could have text us about it since they text us to let us know when the girl might be at the front desk....overall pretty disappointing for the kind of money they charge...don,t be fooled by the awsome pictures of the place....it,s definitely not a "resort"

Old school Florida.
Great old school Florida hotel with fabulous tiki restaurant open to the public. This place has great bones and could really use an upgrade. The only other downside is noise from hotel bar and one across the street blaring bass till wee hours.

We’ve stayed here numerous times and it was absolutely wonderful. The only problem was the last night of our stay, our room faced the tiki bar, and they had live entertainment, which made it very difficult for us to get proper rest.

1- No debit cards permitted for payment. 2. Check in was friendly, no issues.3- the rules prohibit outside food brought to pool are with fees for non compliance. 4- Tikihut bar is cool, has good live music at night.

Dolphin Key Resort
Dolphin Key Resort is Old Florida. Meghan was very accommodating. We were on the first floor and the rooms had a musty smell. Florida just recovered from hurricanes Helene and Milton so we are sure that was the issue from water damage but other than that the rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a nice pool. The fun Tiki bar has entertainment and a nice menu. We had yummy pancakes. Happy to recommend!

We are here now and then when we party at the Tiki! This last one was for the Halloween Trolley event and Bad Latitude playing. Great time. Room is nice. Cool, dark, clean, comfortable. We’ll be back again.
