Hotel Review: 4/5 Stars
I recently stayed at this hotel over the New Year’s holiday, and while it was a pleasant experience overall, there were a few areas that could use improvement.
First, the hotel itself is a beautiful building with inviting design and décor. The location is fantastic—walkable, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and the views from the room were stunning. The staff, for the most part, were welcoming and friendly. I also appreciated the presence of security after hours, especially with the New Year’s celebrations, as they ensured only guests were allowed in by checking room keys.
However, there were a few downsides. The main restaurant where we had dinner, despite having a reservation, had a 45-minute wait. While this could be attributed to the busy holiday season, it was still inconvenient. That said, our server handled it graciously and offered us two complimentary cocktails, which was a nice gesture.
Additionally, the front desk staff that evening didn’t seem particularly happy to be there. This may have been due to the holiday rush, but it was noticeable.
Finally, while the room was beautifully decorated, a recurring sound—possibly from the AC—kept going off every 15 minutes, which disrupted sleep.
Despite these issues, I would recommend this hotel. The positives outweigh the negatives, and its location, design, and thoughtful touches make it a worthwhile stay. With some improvements to soundproofing and wait times, it could easily be a five-star
