Additional Information is required to complete your booking.
IDs, a credit card Security Deposit hold, and a signed Rental Agreement are required to complete your booking. You must provide these items via an Owner-provide URL within 48 hours of making the initial booking to maintain your booking. This applies to "Instant Bookings" that may appear to be complete on sites like VRBO.

IDs required.
The primary renter must complete the booking platform’s Verified ID process. In addition, due to local compliance requirements, all adult members of the booking party must provide the Owner with a copy of their valid and unexpired government ID before the day of check-in. This is separate from the booking platform’s Verified ID program. IDs must be clear with everything visible and nothing blocked out. Check-in will not be permitted without required IDs.

Occupancy Limits & Additional Guest Fee
- Access to the property is exclusively for individuals who are pre-disclosed at the time of booking.
- All persons who will be on-site (including children and infants) are counted in the booking party whether they visit briefly or spend the night.
- A maximum total of five people may be included in a booking.
- Visitors are not permitted without prior written approval from the Host.
- Each undisclosed visitor will cost $100 times the total booked nights. Outdoor video is reviewed to confirm the total number of people on-site.
- Modern Vintage's base rate includes up to two people.
- Guests 3-5 are charged an Additional Guest Fee ($20/night/guest as of 6.20.22) which is applied to all booked nights and not prorated per night.
- Infants are counted as guests, this may be different than the booking platform.
- Reservation changes that add guests are subject to Additional Guest Fees.

Noise.
Quiet hours are 10pm - 8am. Modern Vintage is part of a historic triplex with residents to the side and above this unit. Avoid making loud sounds and please be especially aware as you enter and exit. Also, be mindful of infants in your group who may not sleep through the night.

Security Deposit.
A $300.00 hold will be automatically reserved as a Security Deposit on your credit card by the Owner's credit card processing company 3 days prior to your arrival date. For Airbnb bookings, you agree to provide the Owner with a valid credit card for the Security Deposit via an Owner-provided URL. For direct and platform bookings other than Airbnb, the credit card of the last successful payment will be used. If there are no successful credit card payments, you agree to send $300.00 to the Owner to satisfy the Security Deposit and maintain your booking.

Cancellation Refunds
Guest receives 100.00% if cancellation occurs at least 30 days before arrival;
Guest receives 50.00% if cancellation occurs at least 7 days before arrival;
No refunds within 6 days of arrival.
Credit card and other fees are not refunded

No Smoking or Vaping.
Smoking or vaping is not allowed anywhere on the premises, inside or outside.

No Events or Content Production.
You will not have any gatherings, parties, or events. Further, no entertainment or production is allowed -- for example, live music, filming, web, photo and video shoots, etc. Only personal, non-commercial photography or video with a single consumer-grade camera, and no additional equipment or accessories (i.e. lighting, rigging) is allowed. You agree to disclose your plans to the Hosts at the time of booking. In the event of an unauthorized gathering, party, or entertainment/production event on-site, You agree to pay, in addition to any damages, a penalty equivalent to 4 times the nightly rate in effect at the time, for each night in the booked stay.

No Pets, Service, or Emotional Support Animals Allowed.
We regret that service and emotional support animals cannot be accommodated due to possible shared space health and safety concerns of the triplex’s full-time residents.

Additional Cleaning for Longer Stays.
Additional cleanings are required for stays longer than 13 nights as follows:

14-20 nights — 1 additional cleaning
21-28 nights — 2 additional cleanings

Additional cleanings, if required, will be billed at cost ($200 as of June 2023). If applicable and not automatically calculated in the initial booking, you agree to pay any Additional Cleaning Fees prior to check-in. Cleanings take approximately four hours and will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time, typically 10am-2pm.

Violations, Complaints, Damages.
Violations and complaints are taken seriously. If there are violations or complaints, the Owner will attempt to work with you to reasonably resolve them. However, the Owner reserves the right to terminate your occupancy, including any persons on-site with you, at any time for a violation of this Agreement.

Video Doorbells.
Modern Vintage has exterior-facing video-recording doorbells at all the entrances. Video is used for security and guest count confirmation.

Security Deposit Release.
The Security Deposit will be released in full within 7 days of the end of the rental period if all the property's contents are present, no damage was done, the number of people onsite was accurately disclosed per the Occupancy Policy, there were no unauthorized gatherings, parties, or entertainment/production activities, or other violation of this Agreement. The Security Deposit may be used at Owner's discretion to cover damages incurred by the Owner, other guests, or neighbors. Deductions may be made for, but are not limited to, excess cleaning, excess trash removal, missing or damaged item replacement or repair costs, building or grounds repairs, or excessively disturbing neighbors. The Owner is under no obligation to use the least expensive means of restoration.

Host Entry In Extenuating Circumstances.
You grant the Owner access to the Rental Property for emergencies and will allow the Owner access for maintenance and repair. The Owner may enter the Rental Property at any time for inspection purposes should the Owner reasonably believe that the Guest has or may damage Rental Property or violate this Agreement.

Owner Liability.
Owner's maximum liability related to this Agreement is limited to any monies paid by Guest to Owner. Owner shall not be held liable for any special or consequential damages which result from this Agreement.

Guest Responsibility and Indemnification.
You assume responsibility for the actions of your booking party, including minors. You agree that all persons on the property as a result of your booking do so at their own risk, and further assume all legal responsibility for the behavior of, and any bodily injury to, any such persons, including minors. This includes but is not limited to, any injury sustained as a result of use of the rental property and any loaned equipment. You are responsible for sharing this Agreement's requirements with your traveling group, and anyone else you permit onto the Rental Property by the Guest.

Transient Occupancy Tax.
10% of your daily rate is the rent charged for occupancy of the short-term rental and is therefore subject to the City of Fullerton tax. The remainder 90% of the daily rate pays for parking and/or use of outdoor facilities.

Changes in Writing Only.
Guest and Owner agree that any changes to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties to be effective.

Home and neighborhood are lovely. Can definitely hear upstairs guests when occupied, not loud just doing normal things. Extra charge if anyone visits whether they are staying or not. Overall good experience.

Wonderful stay!
What an absolutely wonderful place! It was so cozy & comfortable, and in such a great neighborhood! Every night when we got home from our day of activity (college visits, DisneyLand, etc.) we took a walk around the block together. The communication with Shannon and Ken was fantastic! They were very responsive, kind and friendly! We come to the area often (one of our sons lives here), so I would most definitely rent this beautiful little retro home again. It was perfect! Thank you!

Awesome Stay
We had a great experience at modern vintage. Loved the place and area. Spend some time at Disneyland and it's a very manageable and short drive away. The place was clean, organized and exactly as advertised. The owners were also very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. Would love to stay here again some time.

Adorable apartment in a three-plex
We had a lovely stay in this adorable apartment. It is part of a gorgeous older home that has been split into three apartments. It is situated in a very nice neighborhood, in the town of Fullerton. We were able to walk to local cafes and shops. I recommend this to families looking for a safe and quiet place to stay in Orange County.

Nice neighborhood, close so Disneyland
We had a nice time at this rental. It was clean, well stocked, and easy to find. Location was good and it was close to shopping and restaurants (driving distance). This is a triplex but we only heard neighbors once. There are 2 flights of stairs to go up once you park your car so carrying groceries and luggages may be difficult for some. Everything in the unit worked well and the couch was comfy. The beds were also comfortable but the pillows were really round and hard to sleep on. We bring our own pillows though. There is no lock on the bedroom door (at least that we could find) which may be important if you need privacy from the kiddos.

We had a fantastic stay!
We had a great stay at the Modern Vintage apartment. The design and decor is so nice and charming and really made our short stay special. It was really nice and clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. We easily got out to Disney, the Angels stadium for the baseball and downtown area for loads of food choices. The street itself is also lovely. Communication with Shannon and Ken was spot on too. Excellent hosts. Would love to stay again one day. Thanks so much!

Hilltop is a very clean, cute, comfortable place to stay. We are local but in between moving out of state. Just needed a spot close so my son could finish out his 5th grade year. So nice to have all the amenities! All the beds and sheets were very clean. Thanks Ken & Shannon.

Simply A Beautiful Property
This is our second time staying here and we will absolutely be staying again. First, the location is in a picturesque historic neighborhood, with very quick access to downtown Fullerton and other meals and activities. Disney is 15 minutes away and Knottsberry Farm is not far away. The house was built in 1939, and simply lovely. There are 2 other unites as part of the property but it is quiet and peaceful. If you have downtime at the home, some time outside will reward you with calm, beautiful landscaping and sounds of birds. Oh and squirrels are abound for your amusement. Don’t think twice as you book, then you’ll be greeted by owners in a personal message that will make you and your family feel as welcome as one of their own.

Modern Vintage is a great place to stay and is exactly as listed. It's quaint, cozy, very clean and well equipped. Shannon, the owner and host, has thoughtfully provided all the essentials plus a few extra, really nice details (bottled water, coffee, cocoa, popcorn, spices). Communication and check in was easy and the additional detail Shannon provided on parking, map to the unit, etc. were super helpful in finding our way in the dark. Overall, we had a really nice visit and loved our stay! PS - One heads up for future renters. Check out is at 10 am and this is clearly stated everywhere! I mistakenly had 11 am in mind until the day before we were scheduled to leave when I was rereading the checkout policy. They couldn't accommodate a later check out as the housekeepers require advance notice. Not a big deal but something to plan for if you are like us and tired after a long day at the park.

Charming & Magical
I need to state first off that I did not have any notifications on, so I did not see the additional check-in requirements for the unit, so I made things a bit last minute/inconvenient for our hosts, but they were so understanding and accommodating. This is one unit in a triplex and is so charming. There are a lot of details remaining from the 40's and it was very cozy and relaxing. The owners left so many wonderful amenities that really saved us when we realized we forgot a few items. The location is great - a short trip to Disney, restaurants, shopping, etc. I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. Thank you so much for making our trip memorable and comfortable.
