Dog and cigarettes come first.
This hotel claims to be smoke free and NOT pet friendly but we had issues with both. The staff turned a blind eye to people smoking outside in the dining and lounge areas, which were littered with disgusting cigarette butts. On top of that, some meathead was walking around with a German Shepherd that would bark at people constantly. I witnessed a couple and their two small children get forced out of the lobby by this dog's very loud and threatening barking. The dog owner and front desk staff did nothing. The poor family just wanted to exit the building but had to turn around and leave. It's a decent hotel but the staff needs to be better trained on maintaining a clean and safe environment for all.

Great price, location and clean
Enjoyed everything. Very clean, quiet, friendly. The bar /restaurant was very nice and staff pleasant. Clean environment throughout. Room was cozy and i liked the set up. Went right into the room, bathroom was in the back. Made it feel more like a room at a friends than a hotel room. Would highly recommend.

The staff were incredibly rude and snobby. Food was awful. I was chastised in the restaurant for making a phone call early in the morning, when NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THERE! I will never stay there again.

We always enjoy staying at the Eleo - we like the modernistic vibe, and general vibe. But we love the restaurant/bar! Every staff member we interacted with, from Nico to Nyla, and most especially Natasha, were fun, professional and efficient. And did I say fun? Also, the food never disappoints, and the drinks were amazing. We had two business/friends join us our 2nd night, and they were equally impressed!

One of the nicer hotels in Gainesville. Convenient to UF. Covey Kitchen restaurant is very good, especially for breakfast. Excellent omelette and grits.
