Booking & Stays:
Situated hillside with wooded views from the deck and seasonal distant Smoky Mountain views from the front porch, our semi-private setting offers relative seclusion amidst other rental homes.

Date Restrictions:
No check-ins/check-outs on Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day please.

Kitchen: Fully-equipped with a coffee maker, Keurig, cookware, dishware, crock-pot, griddle, blender, waffle iron, and basic essentials like salt, pepper, coffee filters, and more.

Inclusions: We provide essential supplies like toilet paper, tissues, towels, bed linens, dishwashing liquid, and detergent. Bring extra paper towels based on your needs.

Pets:
Black Bear Cottage welcomes ONE adult dogs up to 50 pounds per stay with a $125 fee. Sorry--no puppies, cats, or kittens. Dogs must be at least one year old, fully house trained and on a flea/tick program.
Waste must be properly disposed of in secured plastic bags. Your dog must not sit or lay on furniture or bedding.

Road Conditions:
While our location features hilly terrain, 4WD is only necessary in snowy conditions, especially on the steeper driveway section. There are two routes to our home, so please be sure to read your check-in email for information about each route.

We decided to go on an babymoon and this was such great cabin to stay in! We loved how secluded it felt while still being about 10 minutes from Gatlinburg. The cabin was clean, matched the listing description and pictures 100%, and the check in and check out procedures were a breeze! Will definitely be staying here again!!

We had the BEST time in this cabin. We wanted seclusion. We were able to use the hot tub in total privacy. EVERYTHING worked properly. It's cozy and quaint. We had a great time playing pool. We experienced snow on the last day of our stay and the owners were great to make sure there was a snow shovel and salt so that we wouldn't have any problems leaving the cabin. I've stayed at several cabins in the Smokey's over the year, but this was by far my favorite!!!

Overall nice cabin.....shower is quite small and very very close to the stack washer and dryer.....not a lot of room for getting in and out of shower. Driveway/parking area not for large vehicles.

Loved the cabin! Very clean and very pretty. The road was horrible. The sign said drive at your own risk. It should have said are you stupid! lol They really do need to fix the road at the bottom where it’s washed out and at the top when you go over the hill and lose the road. Very scary!

Loved the Bear Cabin!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It was a last minute booking, we booked on Thursday morning for a Friday-Sunday stay. We were so lucky that it was available for our last minute getaway to the Smoky Mountain area. Cabin was clean, tidy and just as described. We loved enjoying our coffee on the deck prior to starting our days. All the necessities were provided to prepare meals, wash clothes and wash dishes- we just had to bring the groceries and move right in. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Great Getaway

My husband and I stayed in the area for a couple of nights to hike. We had a slight challenge with the checkin process and the homeowner was very helpful and communicative in helping us. The view on the back porch was great and we loved the seclusion of the house. It was also close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I highly recommend the house!

Great cabin for couples!

The cabin is beautiful, inside and out. Pool table, board games, hot tub, jetted tub, and seclusion. What else could one want? The only minor complaint is that it was hard to cook because there was no light above the stove, but that's just nitpicking. I'd recommend this cabin to ANY couple. Jennifer answers quickly, if asked a question. The last hump right before you reach the cabin is a bit scary, but the road is there. It's the mountains and seclusion, and the spot is perfect. If one is not used to driving in the mountains, just go slow, you'll be fine. 9.9/10, would stsy again many times!
