While I appreciate that the room was clean, you could taste the smell of the cleaning product. Grateful we could open the windows and air the room out. And no hangers in the closet. Lame!

This is a beautiful old manor turned inn decades ago with two additional wings to house guests. The original manor has charm and an interesting history. We sat on the veranda for breakfast and looked over the marsh and river towards the harbor. The food was delish! The staff was delightful. We were able to walk into town and the main waterfront within about 10 minutes. The setting could not be more perfect for a quick visit to Gloucester. We will return.

Delightful stay.
They had an easy after hours check in. We stayed two nights. The rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed on a weekend that the Manor was hosting a wedding, it is also an event center/restaurant , so music was going and the parking lot was full when we got back but it didn’t go too late and I was able to move car into a spot after everyone left. We ate at there one morning and the food was good. The chef wife gave us some good place to eat for seafood since we were looking for good seafood! She suggested Minglewood and it was delicious and right in the water! Overall friendly staff and good rooms.

Great location, rooms dated and could benefit from a grounds and facility maintenance update, breakfast was the redeeming feature! Very good buffet and THE BEST home fries and friendly staff, white tablecloths, would have liked cloth napkins. Will come again for breakfast but likely stay somewhere else.

The outdoor seating is cozy and near the ocean. Staff are very friendly. Beds are soft (maybe memory foam?) and the motel room was spacious enough for 2 people.

It’s a lovely quiet place with nice staff. I stayed in the “motel” section and was able to park right in front of my room. The manager could not have been nicer..even letting me check in early. The view of the salt marshes from the rooms private deck was great. The room was not fancy…just clean, comfortable and quiet. I’d stay there again.
