I liked the price of the YMCA in relation to area hotels. I did not like no elevator for a 3rd floor room, no TV, no A/C and poor bed.

Metal bedposts stuck 4 inches out by the window side, both of us hurt ourselves on them. Bathroom wasn't clean, dirty rags in the shower. Very noisy with unsupervised children running around for hours late at night. Last month, we got a very dirty room. Toothpaste all over the floor, no hot water, lock didn't work, loud people in the common area past 11pm, then they went outside talking loud til 1am.

It’s a lovely property with so many walking trails, but the rooms are really dated and the carpet needs to be replaced. My room was fine and parking was convenient. I was rather upset that the pool was closed.

Nice, big room. No frills, but no complaints. No A/C, but screened windows that were wonderful. Box fan in the room. Comfortable bedding and towels. Tons of things to do for families, beautiful property. Caution: the lodge-type rooms seem to be popular with families and is not very quiet.

This is like going to a camp with dorms rather than cabins or tents. Unfortunately for us we were on the third floor with no elevator. Between my wife's asthma and my bad reaction to the high elevation we struggled. It is a very special place, but not for every one.
