This hotel had quite exceptional strengths, while dealt with underlying weaknesses. Its strengths included the overall atmosphere, impressive architecture with its shocking 44 floors, reaching up to 203 meters. The weaknesses were definitely present though. The bathroom came with a messed up showerhead, to branch off of the bathroom; the bathtub looks old and worn. the shower door is not the best design and could easily get water all over the floor. The carpet in the room was not fresh (but still manageable). The TV was also pretty difficult to work with, what if you were to have a senior citizen who did not understand present day technology enough to understand the complex TV and its corresponding remote. Fortunately after a little bit of trial and error we finally understood how it works. On the other hand, the views from the rooms to the grand city of Guadalajara were breathtaking. The city looked even better at the rooftop, which is easily accessible with a great view to dine on. Overall, this hotel was a decent experience, with decent price. 7.5/10 stars.

Didn't take an upgrade and then were given a room on the lowest floor possible - definitely felt spiteful! Didnt get but 1 litre of water for the entire stay for 2 of us. No soap or bath gel in the shower - used shampoo which was fine. Great doorman, Santiago - very helpful. And Pinto at the pool area was great.

The view from my room was nice. The room was clean, spacious and had everything needed for a relaxing night. The pool and pool area was nice as well. I didn’t try the restaurant or coffee shop because they were very expensive, specially when compared to nerby restaurants

It was my first time staying in a Riu, and I am fascinated by everything this hotel has to offer to their guests. The architecture, interior design, the great customer service, the roof top, the breakfast, the comfty and modern rooms. Honestly, I will keep staying in Riu anywhere I go in Mexico.

Me and my wife enjoyed the scenery from the 360 rooftop bar and enjoyed the service that staff offered us especially room service. We did however encounter an issue with the a/c, our room cards and the water temperature in the shower. The a/c didn’t really work especially when we wanted to warm up the room at night. The room cards would occasionally fail and not let us into our rooms and needed the front desk to reset the key cards. The water temperature would fluctuate at an extreme rate going from warm to scalding hot especially with the detachable shower head. Overall would return at a good rate/discount.
