For the (discounted) price I've paid, the facilities was adequate. The room was just basic, but clean, had windows looking to the nearby rooftops. Breakfast is simple (bread, fried eggs or pancake, tea/coffee) and is cooked on order. The hotel is located next street to the Hoan Kiem lake, an adequate distance away from the Ta Hien nightlife (no noise and touts, yet still an easy walking distance if you feel inclined to go there). If you walk to the left (east) when going out, the area is more "local" and the restaurants/streetfood are good value for money. There's no lift, but this is true for most Hanoi hotels of this price range.
