Do not be fooled by the pictures online they are from back when the hotel was new and the hotel is not new it's old run down moldy smelt horrible just horrible experience. When they get the key out of the key return basket to take you to show you your room that right there is a good indication of just how bad the room is going to be because somebody else has left that room didn't like it either. Top it off with the room that you pay for is definitely not what you will get I upgraded to a deluxe room and they put me in a disgusting room that wasn't even what I paid for and had the nerve to tell me that they do have the rooms that I paid for upstairs but that they were reserved. Mind you I had made this reservation 2 months in advance and was standing there and they had the rooms available but we served for other guests and I am just never ever going to stay there again.

This was a terrible experience. The room smelled very musty causing us to have respiratory issues. The carpet was so dirty and we looked under the beds to find cobwebs and dirt and other items. It must not have been cleaned for months. It was a patio room and the sliding door tracks were so dirty they didn't work well. The screen door was broken. There were blood stains on one pillow cover. The bathroom was clean but the door didn't fit well. The hot tub was empty and the pool looked iffy. The breakfast was acceptable. We almost left but stayed the night and left the next day and cut our two days to one.

The bed was fine. Price was reasonable. Noisy business across the street woke me up at 5am. Breakfast was a joke. Manager refused to give me a credit for early check out. He said a 24 hour notice was required. I told him this was a first. Even in LA they allow for a credit on early check out. I would drive to another city before staying there again.

When we finished checking in we were told the hot tub was broken. We went to our room and the TV wouldnt turn on..The front desk clerk worked for 30 min. He was friendly and helpful. Then we were offered a different room... Which was okay. Morning came and I saw the most limited continental breakfast.... It was worth substantially less than we paid.

Sadly disappointing, reviews not accurate.
I stay at a hotel at least once a month. I always use Hotels.com and I always read the reviews. I know New Richmond is not a large town, but I felt good about the hotel because the reviews said good things. I knew it wouldn’t be “brand new”, but I expected better. Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk. 4pm on a Friday, when the hotel was sold out. I called the number posted… and after a few minutes someone came out. He was very polite and nice, but it still took forever to check in. We were in a time crunch, as we had a ride coming between 5 and 515. We got into the room and tried to turn on the TV and it didn’t work. After spending 15 minutes trying to diagnose the issue, we ended up asking the front desk to fix it. The manager (?) came to our room (barefoot) and spent over 20 minutes trying to fix it, as I was trying to get ready. He said it would be fixed when we got back, I explained I didn’t want anyone in my room while we were gone. Finally, with 10 minutes to spare before we had to leave, he hooked a new DVD up and had it working. Other issues: the door between rooms did not lock. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The floors were dirty, like with actual dirt, the tub had dirt in it also. The outlet for the microwave did not work, so had to use the bathroom plug in. And the blow dryer did not work, so I had to find a house keeper in the morning to get a new one. The staff was very nice, but they need to clean up their act. Was not impressed,

This place is falling apart at the seams. Needs some TLC. The gentleman at the desk told me 3 or 4 times “you are wrong” when I was trying to get in the internet instead of helping me. Then upstairs we were having trouble with the electronic key and asked for help. He grabbed it out of my husbands hand and said “you are wrong again”. When I told him he needed to learn how to talk to people he was shocked. I think he felt badly and had no idea how rude he was being. Still not pleasant.

Not a good stay, on the first night of the stay our light switch in the bathroom failed. We couldn’t turn the lights on at all. Used phone for light. When we talked to the first attendant in the morning he didn’t seem to care or understand what I was telling him. He told me to come back later in the day. When so came back later the second attendant told me to wiggle switch and it will work. I told him we tried that. He then came up to our room and confirmed that the switch and light didn’t work. He said that he would fix it. He never came back to fix the light and we spent the rest of our stay with lights in bathroom. The bathroom door was also in disrepair and wouldn’t shut all the way. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying again. There were no apologies or offer for discount.
