This is a very nice property. It is centrally located. The beach is small and there was a lot of what it seemed to be sea weed . So we were not able to enjoy the private beach. We went to a public one close by and it was pretty nice.

Well kept property. Staff works hard but Know that when you reserve, you must include everyone using room to see actual total cost. Cost for our "room for four" doubled from listed when we checked in with four people. Surrounding properties: vacant lot, motorcycle repair yard, and cul-de-sac by hotel's registration/entrance, all get busy. Not very scenic.

Perfect location on the beach. You can watch pelicans dive bombing for fish all day long. Sunsets are amazing. Included breakfast is very tasty. Staff is friendly and accommodating. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby within easy walking distance. We did have some confusion around payment. The resort sent us an Expedia message (and email) that said the 1st night would be charged to our credit card. I trusted this was correct but when we arrived we were charged for the 1st night at the check in desk. I used my online banking app to double check that I wasn't being double charged. I wasn't so it all worked out. I recommend the resort take this statement out of their pre check in communication if they are not going to do it. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

Nice hotel on the beachfront and well located vis-a-vis rstaurants. Internet service was good. The staff is nice and friendly, in particular in the restaurant. The only negative point I could make is regarding the restaurant which closes around 6 or 6:30 pm, whoch means no possibilities to have dinner.

Staff was great. Restaurant only has about 4 tables. Food was great. Beach area is extremely small. If you’re looking to relax by the beach hope that no one else is there, other wise you’ll have to go someplace else because there’s no space. All beach chairs are made of wood, which makes it very painful after 10 minutes of laying down. Beds are really comfortable. Location is great since it is walking distance to every restaurant. Only about 10-12 minutes walking from the ferry pier, if you do not have big or heavy luggage. Orherwise, you’ll need to take a taxi because the sidewalks are practically nonexistent and make it very hard to walk with luggage.

Love La Palapa, it’s great place to relax, enjoy the beautiful water and sun. The staff was super friendly and check in was easy. The room is perfect, no TV, A/C works awesome and the room has a balcony facing the water. On the balcony you will find a hammock and table perfect for chillin. The beach is a little rough from the shells. The temp of the water is perfect, if you walk off the property you will find tons of options for food and clubs. I would stay here again.

Beachfront view was amazing. It’s close enough to walk to all types of attractions but not too busy. The rooms are nice size, but TV is very small and very dated. Didn’t travel there for the room amenities so it wasn’t a problem, but worth mentioning.

I loved the hotel, the beach and the entire island. We had breakfast every day at the hotel restaurant, which was always delicious! The location is very centric and walkable to nearby stores and restaurants. The staff was always very attentive and helpful.

My wife and I walked out of room for breakfast. Another couple was walking in front of us. He turned around angrily and said a very threatening statement to me. Don’t know why but he hates American. He continued to give me angry looks during breakfast. Never saw before and never talked to him. At that point, we went to the manager and wanted to leave and go to another hotel. They wanted to talk to him. Knowing my life felt threatened, and you never know how people react, I just wanted to leave and get my money back for the remaining days. The manager refused. We left anyway.

This Hotel has problems with water, wifi never worked in the room. This property has just one restaurant and the menu is very limited and they close at 7pm everyday. If you want to have dinner or something to drink after that hour you have to go out. One day they did not have any fish. The bar is very limited with alcohol. I do not recommend this hotel and and won’t come back.

I had a nice stay at La Palapa. The food here is delicious! I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were yummy as well. I loved how close it was to all the restaurants/bars and the town center. Very convenient. They didn’t have as much shade as I’d like. You need to be up extra early to grab lounge chairs with tiki coverage. Aside from that, great place to stay! Thanks to everyone at La Palapa!

We spent three nights at Beachfront Hotel La Palapa, and had a great experience there. Our third-floor room boasted a breathtaking ocean view, and its proximity to the main beach, sandbar, and beach bars made it an ideal location. The hotel's walkable distance to the town's main streets, lined with restaurants, bars, and shops was also great. Although we were hit by a tropical storm during our stay, which caused flooding on the streets, we still managed to explore the area with ease even though we had to navigate through puddles and flooded streets (I would advise bringing rain boots if rain is forecasted during your stay). Our room was cozy and comfortable, making it a perfect retreat from the rainstorms. We enjoyed spending time indoors waiting out the storms, relaxing with the air conditioning, TV, and ocean view. Additionally, our stay included a hot, made-to-order breakfast that was simply delicious. We would highly recommend Beachfront Hotel La Palapa and look forward to returning there if we're ever in Holbox again.
