The lady who works in the office where you check in is very rude and arrogant. The place is beautiful and very nice.

Loved the Old Florida feel, the 50s style styling that has been kept in great condition and updated. Not a lot of rooms in the Hotel so it was quiet with lots of room at the pool. Staff was very helpful\friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view and hotel. Only thing that needed some attention were the bicycles that were provided in the resort fee. If your going to add a mandatory fee bicycles (kayaks, paddleboards) then be sure they are maintained. All the bicycle tires were low, seats would not adjust and most of the bolts that held things like handlebars were loose. Actually not safe.

There was a $75 charge for “resort” facilities,i.e., kayak and bicycle use, which I was told was non waivable, which as senior citizens we did not have any use for. Had it been a non refundable reservation we would have gone someplace else. Live and learn.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Drop Anchor. It has an Old Florida vibe and is adorable small resort type motel. Loved the chairs under palapa with water view. No ice machine available - coffee in room only. Beds were comfortable and ac worked great.

The property was beautiful and well kept. The rooms were clean. The front desk staff, friendly and welcoming. There is a boat drop which is awesome and they are pet friendly.There is limited parking but there is grass area available to park when the lot is full. The only downfall to this place is the rooms retain moisture from the humidity, other than that this is a great little spot!
