Overall for the price it was good. My room was on the first floor toward the street and due to several cafes and eating places, people were sitting outside until 2:00am and talking loudly and made it difficult to go to sleep. Overall the room was good and breakfast was good as well.

Excellent Sultanhmet area choice.
Erman was an exceptional host. I was made comfortable and felt at home the entire time. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. It was a walking only area other than taxis and so on. Many restaurants just out your door. 5 mins to sea walk, bus and train stops. Walk to most attractions. A great place to stay.

I really enjoyed their hospitality and service. Their breakfast service is really good. The area is really awesome. Train is station is 2 minutes away. Mosque is nearby. Grand bazar is in 15 minutes walking distance.

Strongly recommend this hotel! Room was nice and clean! Everyday rooms cleaning and towels change! Great hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausages, and cheese menu in the hotel restaurant with sea view. Helpful reception staff.

A great place to stay during a solo trip.
Located in a tourist-friendly location, Ahmet Efendi Konagi provides a pleasant stay. As a solo traveller, I valued their early check-in, which was set up with just a phone call. The Sultanahmet Mosque and Hagia Sophia and many other attractions were nearby, making it easy to explore the city, thanks to the good transport connections. You could pay by cash or card here and they did not charge extra for my early accommodation. Despite being heavy on meat, the breakfast table included plenty of vegetarian options, such as fruits, salads, fresh juice and cheeses. Mr. Deniz and his staff were really kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and housekeeping was optional. They accommodate most of your requests and I personally was very comfortable there. The staff spoke English and it was a little easier for me to communicate since I spoke a little Turkish. They also had a cloak room to keep your luggage in case you need to go somewhere after checkout. All things considered, Ahmet Efendi Konagi guarantees a convenient and comfortable stay in Istanbul. I would definitely consider staying here again when I visit Istanbul next time.

We spent 4 wonderful nights in one of the rooftop balcony rooms overlooking the street. Mr Herman, the Manager, was a pure gentleman, gentile, kind and extremely efficient and no request was too difficult for him. Walking to the Grand Bazaar and Haggai Sophia and other places in the old city from the hotel is very doable. The Promenade along the Bosphorus was also an easy walk from the hotel. Our room was exceptionally clean and a reasonable breakfast is provided every morning. There are also many good restaurants in short walking distance from the hotel.
