Super Chill Property
We hunt annually in the area and this was the perfect property for our group. Lots of space inside and out, deer crossing in the back and the most beautiful sunrise coming through the back windows. We are looking forward to next year!

Christmas tradition
This is the second year my wife, son, and his girlfriend spent Christmas in the Hill Country. The Country Life experience was a perfect location. Comfortable property. Jeff and Alexa are excellent hosts.

Wine Country Thanksgiving
Great location for wineries around Johnson City and Fredericksburg. The accommodations were very roomy for an extended family trip. The house is dated but very clean! The pool was nice but not of use to us in Nov and outside lighting lit up the grounds at the back of the house.

Great place to stay! Quiet and Secluded.
The stay was great. It was quiet and secluded. Amenities were in great shape and was in a great location. The only issues I had were that the A/C settings on the thermostat would not go under 74 degrees so the house would get a little warm at times. Also, there was a constant beeping coming from the garage heard throughout the house and especially in the bedroom by the garage. No one could sleep in that room because of the beeping. There was no access to the garage to try and stop the beeping.

Great Weekend
We had 10 women stay the whole weekend at the house. The house was warm all weekend but that was just because it was late August in Texas. There’s no real way around that. I would recommend this place 8 days a week except for late summer. But if you aren’t there the whole time then it’s probably not as bad. And even with it being warm it was still very doable and we still had the absolute best time! We had plenty of space for everyone and the pool was great. Jeff and Alexis were incredible and were very quick to respond to ALL of my questions.

The main house was very clean and well stocked. The back room with the large fan stays very warm even with the fan on so it is was a hard sleep for me personally. Pool was clean, lots of places to sit outside. House is right off the highway and less than 10 mins from Johnson City.

Family Getaway
We enjoyed the house and the annex being separate so that we as more than one family coming together still had our separate space to go to for quiet time when needed. We thought that the pool was great! Everyone who swam enjoyed it and those who didn't swim enjoyed looking on from rooms and the deck. We also loved the big table. We were a group of 13 and we were able to get the majority of our group could sit together. When we weren't eating we used the table for jigsaw puzzles and games. The location for kid friendly and family adventures was so nice. We enjoyed the Reptile zoo, drive home for a rest and lunch and then we went back to the Science Mill. Both places were great for our group. Thank you for a beautiful little place to stay with convince to fun outings and restaurants.

If you are looking for some peace and quiet away from the city this is the place to be. Close enough to restaurants and market and wineries. The nights were great with a dip in the pool.

Great stay, fun weekend!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean & very spacious. The property manager communicated well & replied promptly to any questions we had. The pool was fantastic! Bring your own floaties. We used the propane firepit every night. Bed comfort was ok, shower water pressure was good, kitchen was stocked well, extra fans available in hall closet if needed. We really appreciated the coffee beans, grinder, coffee maker & sugar that is already there. There are spiders, bugs, deer & varmints - this home is in the country. It didn't bother us, though. Location was ok. It's 22 miles from Fredericksburg, so we chose to go to nearby wineries & eat out one meal closer to Johnson City. We visited Fredericksburg on our way home after checking out. We would definitely stay here again!

Annual Camp drop off
The property was beautiful and peaceful. Jeff and Alexis were amazing. We had a large group and they were extremely helpful with making sure our stay was completely peaceful and comfortable. The grandkids loved the pool and outdoors that they wanted to stay instead of going to camp in Harper, Texas. The property was a short drive to Harper. Thank you Jeff and Alexis, we look forward to staying there next year.

Took a weekend getaway just my mom, brother and myself. We were super super excited loved the place awesome quiet and close to so many wineries. Super super clean house pool was super clean but unfortunately weather didn’t permit to use. We will definitely book again the whole family for a getaway.

outstanding overall location, and facilities !
Rode up with our church group from Tomball for the Fandango vintage motorcycle event. The property was easy to find, a fantastic location, very clean, with more than enough space to park a couple of bikes and a trike. The bedrooms were comfortable, isolated and quiet. Loved the pool and the grill! Yeah, we are coming back!

Family time
This is the second time we booked this place for a New Year’s Eve weekend. We did a late Christmas plus new years with our out of town family and had a great time. The putter houses were great because if grandma & grandpa wanted to sleep but the 18year olds wanted to stay up there was enough space not to wake anyone.

Does not accommodate this many people if one room is so HOT!
We rented out the entire house, it was clean and accommodated our guest size except for one important thing, one of the largest rooms was RIDICULOUS HOT! This room had one AC unit which clearly could not cool the room. The Temp. In the room, Even with two fans on, was about 85degrees! I contacted manager and was told someone would go out the next day and no one came. I contacted manager again next morning and no response! Our Girl Scout Troop should be reimbursed for the money of having to endure this heat! The rooms adjacent had two AC units and was overall smaller, management should no better or not rent out property to accommodate this many people!

Main house smells like old cigarette, cool location.
Well we arrived checked all the massive long rules, the place was a really cool setting. I did not have crazy high expectations because of course it was really cheap. But when we got there the main house smelled like old cigarette smoke. Our entire party of 7 agreed. Anyways, thank god I booked the bunk house too. My guest dealt with the smell, I could not so I slept in the bunk house. Owner seemed responsive the 1st hour but then went blank. No response, no offer to help no offer to come see what the issue was???? I have also followed up after a week to see if he had a chance to check It our? No responses. What a joke. We own rental property and understand things happen, but to just ignore us 😂😂🤔🤔 They have plastic bed bug covers that feel like your sleeping on a garbage bag? The good , it’s centrally located from Fredericksburg and garrison brothers. And all winery. The back yard is peaceful and nice size deck. Bed was comfy. Bunk house was ok. We where walking distance like 4 min from hye cider really fun. Good luck. Cheers
