Key West Lighthouse Hotel stay
So happy with our choice of the Lighthouse Hotel for our trip to Key West ! The room itself was much more modern and updated than I expected ... but what really set it off was the patio and it's beautiful surroundings. My wife and I loved having our morning coffee thre ... I would highly recommend doing the same.

Cute hotel close to a lot!
This hotel is in a great loaction (mainly the reason I chose it)! I've been to KW many times and didn't want to rent a car. I wanted to be close to Duval and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The morning breakfast spread is really yummy! Nice to have a complimentary breakfast each day. Isabels bar is cute and Julie is the sweetest bartender! Also note that this is a dog friendly hotel and you'll see quite a few (which I loved). My only complaint/suggestion is to note that there is NO elevator on the property. I wish I'd known that prior. Carrying my 47 pound luggage upstairs with no help, wasn't fun. Also the rooms advertised as having almost completely private patios with garden views. I had a shared patio with trees but no view. Still a great stay and would recommend to others.

The hotel itself is beautiful and well situated. As many people note, the breakfast is a great, upscale continental. The pool area is very pretty but mostly shaded —still a great spot to post up with a book or have breakfast by. The location is ideal for walking to Duval St. There are also restaurants on or very close to Whitehead St that I would say are better spots than many on Duval. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, so many great recommendations and quick to assist. I’ll preface my “opportunities” by saying that I would definitely stay at the hotel again. However, there were two things that I didn’t love—one of which is out of the hotel’s control but worth noting. The first two nights of my stay, the Hemingway House (directly across from the hotel) hosted weddings, and you can hear the weddings (which are outdoors) very clearly from your hotel room. I think they wrapped up by 11pm but something to consider if you’re looking for a quieter evening in. Wedding guests also flooded the hotel bar, pre-wedding. Second, the AC unit in my room was leaking outside, and the water pooled on the ground and resulted in the room being filled with a musty smell. The windows don’t open so there isn’t a way to get fresh air in. My clothes smelled musty when I got home. Probably an easy fix with some light repairs and didn’t majorly impact my stay but not ideal. All in all, the hotel was well worth it and a great place to stay for an easy, convenient visit.

Awesome, eclectic property. Only stayed one night, because conference was in a different hotel. But I could have stayed here all week. Chill private courtyard with pool. Amazing home made breakfast.

The property was close to Duval Street. Lots of dining, shopping and attractions. The staff was nice and helpful. Upon check in our card was declined…immediately called the bank and they confirmed the mistake was on the motel end…card worked fine everywhere else. Also keys didn’t work first time…redid them….still didn’t work…they told us we had to jiggle the handle a certain way. The rooms are very small and need updated. Our floor was always wet…couldn’t understand why…we used a white towel to wipe it up and it was orange/brown color. When we were stepping on the floor, the liquid was coming from under the floor. We did get a new room quickly. The new room was even smaller. The only explanation we got was it had rained a lot. This was disturbing because I was sick the second day we got there for the rest of the trip. Probably wouldn’t stay here again…would probably go with a chain hotel.

We love staying at the Historic Inns collection hotels. The location was perfect - quiet yet close to everything. Our room (35) ended up being the perfect surprise for my husband and I along with a friend as it had 2 separate bedrooms. The perfect setup for friends traveling together.

Lovely historic area. Isabel's was open 24/7 for coffee, tea, ice and water. Room was small but nicely furnished and more than adequate for our stay. Beakfast was very good. Lots of options for a Continental. Staff was very nice and helpful. We would stay here again.
