Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price Rooms are extremely outdated with worn-out furniture—definitely not what you’d expect at this price point. When we checked in, housekeeping had left someone else’s sock in the room. Even worse, the shower water was brown during half of our stay, and the only response from reception was to “wait.” No heads-up that breakfast wasn’t included—just an unexpected charge at checkout. After all this, I requested a simple 2-hour late checkout and was denied—only given 30 minutes—forcing us to walk around with our infant in 90°F heat. I’m done with this place and won’t be returning.

Grand hotel good location

Good location and five star service throughput, this is a classy establishment and has a grand style. Location and facilities are good, great shopping and dining options available and close to Petronas towers however a tour would require booking in advance before your stay. The rooms are starting to look a little dated however all adds to the charm.

Affordable luxury in the heart of the city

Talk about a find! Upon further research ’the cheapest Mandarine Oriental’ in the world. This hotel and its staff were so lively, that within 5 hours we’d created an opportunity to come back again later in the year and booked again. From the glorious view of the city from the pool, the view of the Petronas Towers from our room (they upgraded us and gave us a 4 pm checkout with no hesitation upon arrival) to the tickets for the free drinks at Marini’s 57 next door (see pic)… we couldn’t fault this hotel. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and the MO Rewards app is definitely worth signing up to. Can’t wait to return.
