Another great stay at the RHIGA Kyoto
We are repeat visitors to the RHIGA hotel in Kyoto. We love that the hotel is close to Kyoto Station but not too close. Staff are very efficient and friendly. The bell desk staff were very helpful arranging takyubin for our larger pieces of luggage to be transported to the RHIGA hotel in Osaka. Housekeeping staff were friendly and very thorough in freshening up our room each day. We love the breakfast buffet on the first floor and have stayed at this hotel enough to know when the restaurant is not as crowded. I would like to see the complimentary shuttle bus hours expanded to start earlier than 9:00 am and ending later than 7:00 pm. Several hotel guests mentioned the same issue, wishing that the shuttle bus hours were expanded. Still a great place to stay and we always recommend this hotel and the RHIGA hotel chain to our friends traveling to Japan.

We had to ask to be moved on our first night as the train noise was exceptionally loud. The room we moved to was fine. Staff were l lovely especially Dhungana Samar who helped us move rooms in the night. Concierge was also excellent.

Loved this hotel, 15 minute walk to the train station. Bigger room, two great breakfast options. One very high rated dinner option in the 14th floor rotating French restaurant

the hotel is a bit hidden & hard to find at first. If you can catch the shuttle from Kyoto station to the hotel, I would recommend it. It is a lovely hotel. I booked a room on the executive floor, and I'm not really sure if there was any additional benefit that I was not already accustomed to for a regular booking. The room was quite small considering it was in Kyoto. The bathroom amenities provided were high quality and smelled amazing. They do have a shuttle service which I utilized for my departure to Kyoto station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurants smelled amazing, but I did not get a chance to visit any of them. There is a convenient currency converter in the lobby area and an ATM of course. The area itself is quite sleepy, but if you walk about 10 minutes there are quite a few restaurants and malls to visit.

The bed was not comfortable, and the duvet did not fit the size of the bed and continued to fall to the foot of the bed... Otherwise the stay was great, staff was excellent and helpful would recommend if you enjoy a gamble for quality of the bed.

Great hotel close to train station. Close to Aeon mall and other shopping options. Rooms are clean, staff are courteous and all staff I interact with speaks english.

We’ve stayed at the location in the past and liked the location being close to the Kyoto Station but not too close. The hotel is easily walkable to the station with Aeon Mall and Avanti Mall near the hotel and the train station. We enjoyed to vast array of food available at the Kaza breakfast buffet. When the restaurant opened for breakfast at 6:30 am there was a really long line waiting to get in. Staff handled to line into the buffet well and the line moved quickly. Food was fresh, tasty and there was a wide variety of breakfast options to suit every taste. Our grandchildren, who are picky eaters, enjoyed themselves at the buffet the last time we stayed at the RHIGA Kyoto. One suggestion to reduce the lines would be to locate the egg station separately from the rest of the hot dishes. Still, we feel the staff hospitality and the hotels cleanliness is a big reason we continue to choose the RHIGA Hotel chain while staying in Japan either for business or leisure.

It's clean everywhere inside the hotel, it also smell really good, the house keepers had done an excellent on cleaning the room.
