I stayed at Comfort Inn and Suites Lake Forest/Irvine Spectrum for nearly a month, and while the beginning was decent, my last stay was horrendous. First, minor inconveniences like my room key deactivating daily. Then, when I extended my stay, I requested a room change due to an ant infestation. However, staff claimed a note from Rosario said I was seen with a pet—completely false as I don’t have one. I offered to let them inspect my room to prove it, but they declined. Katie then accused me of being “aggravated,” which was fairly accurate given the baseless accusations. This entire interaction felt like gaslighting from both the Katie and GM Jason.
The replacement room was a downgrade with a wall view, excruciatingly uncomfortable beds, and missing essentials like a bathroom sprayer. Also, my niece felt unsafe after being followed from the garage, which is accessible 24/7 due to Open doors, and slow elevators with expired permits, adding to her safety concerns. As a federal employee who travels frequently, I’ve never had such an unprofessional experience. No apology was offered for the accusations or the room issues. The name might say “Comfort,” but this stay was anything but comfortable. Does NOT RECOMMEND.
