We all enjoyed our time at the house and the surrounding area. The hot tub was a bonus and I wish we had turned it on the moment we got there. it did take four days to heat up but we enjoyed It. Kitchen Needs Attention
The kitchen cabinets were a mess. The coffee pot still had coffee grinds from the last guest in it. The pot holders were gross and needed washed. There were not any kitchen towels for drying dishes. The knives couldn't cut bread and the pots and pans were old and worn out. Also, the front exterior lights didn't work and it was difficult to find the correct light switches for the living areas.

A home away from home
This is our second time renting here. We came with the whole family the first time, and the second time, just my husband and I with our dog. We just love the location, the quietness, and this cozy home. It has everything we need, and our dog Charlie feels right at home. He loves looking at all the deer. As a family, it was a great place to come together and unwind. We can not wait to come back.

Very Disappointed with Home
First there are a lot of light switches and the overhead lights in the livingroom didn't work. It took my like 15 minutes to get the lights on. The most disappointing thing was the hot tub. When I got there at 830pm the water was only at 84 degrees. It took all night to warm up to an appropriate temperature. So a whole night was wasted. I wish thaf had been in the details or they could keep the hot tube prepped. There are not only any towels for the hot tube. But not any in the shower, kitchen, bathroom. They should list that bigger in the description! Very frustrating. The kitchen is not fully stocked. We couldn't even find trash bags, or plastic wrap. They didn't have a corkscrew nothing in the cupboards was clean. The spunge to clean had fallen apart and had to get a new one. bathroom had nasty crap on the sink. The floors were not clean and had a dirty smell. The couch also had white crusty gunk on it. The cupboards in the rooms has garbage on the floor. I really don't have anything I liked about the place and felt very uncomfortable staying there. Nothing is updated or cleaned and still very expensive. Don't stay here and waste your money!

I’m a planner and always take my own sheets/pillows/towels etc. Glad I did on this one as the King size bed sheets were definitely not washed - tons of hairs on the sheets and some dirt. Not a deal breaker for us since we prefer our own sheets but kind of irritated I had to pay a large cleaning fee when the bed was dirty especially with Covid! Everything else was up to our expectation - hot tub worked and was relatively clean. Was ample amount of kitchen silverware however a few new frying pans wouldn’t hurt. TV in the entry room has Netflix on it so able to watch pretty much anything we wanted. Overall a nice place and quiet location wouldn’t be opposed to staying again literally only issue was cleanliness of the bed which again mostly irritated me since I had to pay a large cleaning fee for our stay.

Horrible experience. Arrived at the property, heavy leaves all over driveway (was not sure where drive way was when pulling in it was so covered. Walked in house, very musty smell upon entering. (I have asthma, so I had to use my inhaler the entire weekend, tried to book another place but had no luck.) Did a walk through, counter was covered in water leaking on floor in kitchen. Roof leak in dining area, puddle of water on stool, rear door handle did not work from outside to re-enter home, microwave looks like a fire hazard. The handle has a huge Crack and looks melted. Bathroom shower floor feels rotted out & the shower door doesn't shut right in large bedroom. No key to access trash cans to throw trash away, beer bottle cap found in hot tub also tons of leave on walk way to hot tub. soft spots in Floor dining area, limited channels on the TV. Light switches all over the place was a mess to figure out. Same with thermostats, there was no HOUSE WELCOME DOCUMENT with where or how things worked, it was a guessing game. Also the house decor made no sense to the cabin feel. However, I will say that cleanliness was ok. Other then the wet spot on the sheet In the large bedroom. There is also a cabinet on the wall in the living room covering a panel of some sort. This cabinet is not secure and fell off the wall when my daughter went to look in it. This was my 1st time booking with Vrbo and it was a terrible experience. I have booked with Air B&B in the past and never had any issues like this. We were there for a dance competition at Split Rock for the weekend. My main concern was my daughter all weekend and I did not need the extra headache of a horrible rental. Will never rent again at this house! Highly recommend telling owner of the aweful conditions of the property that is poorly maintained. We spent good money thinking we were getting a nice rental from the photos. But this was poorly mistaking.

It smelled a little musty when we first came in, brought Lysol along and sprayed the house. Awesome stay great location bear and deer right outside the fence. Lost power contacted the owner he stayed in contact with me and gave updates. Hot tub was great!!!! Enjoyed my stay

Terrible experience!
Do not stay! House was disgusting! Door was completely unlock and not secure when we arrived. Hair in tubs and bed. Floors dirty and stained. Mold in trash can. Left over trash from previous renters all over front yard And back. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. Fan and ceiling fans covered in dust. Seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in months ! Backyard a mess so unkept. Dog feces everywhere hot tub couldn’t be used. Dirty and hair all in it. We spent most of our day and night elsewhere and contemplated leaving. House smelt moldy and musky we didn’t want to stay with our children. Absolutely ruined our weekend getaway for 30th birthday. I wish I could upload pictures of what the house looked like. Nothing like the pictures. It’s outdated but that totally is manageable if it was clean. Vacuum left in living area full of dust and good only knows what else. And master bathroom black mold around shower. Just completely gross and disappointing.

Horrible Experience
Upon arrival at the property, we saw instantly it had not been cleaned. There was furniture thrown on top of the beds and couches. Furniture blocking the backyard door. Dirty dishes in the sink. Garbage from previous renters and filthy bathroom. House is also dates but could have dealt with that if it was clean. We could not stay on this property especially during covid times. We had to get a refund and go elsewhere unfortunately. Read the other reviews and tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but will be sure to listen to reviews next time.

Very nice.
Rented it for two weekends. There were a few problems the first weekend but they were ironed out by the 2nd. Little smaller than it looks but still had plenty of room. Manager was very nice and easy work with.

It was just ok
First off the owner was very easy to communicate with and we was very apologetic!! 1. Hot tub was dirty and not useable. 2. Trash(from previous renter) was all over the neighborhood from the trash cans and a neighbor literally personally attacked me because of the trash!! I spent 30+ minutes picking trash!! 3. Shower in the master bedroom did not work. 4. Hot water in the other shower ran out quickly. Location was great and the house has a lot of potential. Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is well represented with the pictures and we found it very clean. It was absolutely wonderful for both our dogs. The fenced in area gave us security that they would not wander off. The location was close to the lake. We experienced great dining which was also very convenient. Anthony was very prompt in responding to our questions. I would recommend renting this property

Great location, spacious setup
Property location was perfect for skiing at Jack Frost/ Big Boulder. Unfortunately the hot tub was something we were looking forward to more than anything and it was mucky and unusable. Owner was very responsive and apologetic. A small portion (compared to our anticipation to use the hot tub) was reimbursed. 2 tips: 1. The house was also incredibly freezing upon arrival, plan to stay bundled for a few hours. And 2. BYO toaster oven if you like toast in the morning. Otherwise it was a nice stay in a great location.

Great weekend trip
We had no major problems during our stay. There were six of us and there was plenty of room including sleeping arrangements. Prior to the trip, I reached out to the host with a question and received a prompt response. During our stay, I emailed him twice and never received a response back. Luckily, it wasn’t anything major. The house is old but clean and quaint. The hot tub was nice but could have used fresh water (we found several bottle caps in it which were not from us). I slept in the bedroom nearest the kitchen and the refrigerator at night makes a lot of random, loud sounds. The home is located within a five minute drive of several restaurants and shops. Overall, we had a nice stay and I would consider staying at this property again.

Nice, clean place!
I stayed here with a group of friends for the weekend. The place is very nice and clean with lots of space. There were 6 of us and we were all comfortable sleeping. There was great hiking nearby and we also went to a lovely winery about 35 min away but worth the drive. The fire pit and hot tub were great too. Would stay here again.
