It's in safe area and only a block from Heavenly Valley Village. I would stay here again. Only major complaint is the heater/ac unit is right next to the bed with very little climate control. It's a VERY OLD AND OUTDATED UNIT.

The front desk could not find my booking so he had to call his supervisor. When he did find it he gave me a room that was already occupied which was embarrassing. Had to go back to front desk to tell him he screwed up.

Oldie but goody
I always try to stay here when I’m in SLT. Older place that needs upgrading but I’d rather they didn’t and raise the price. Well equipped rooms. Generally pretty clean with comfortable beds and a funky gas fireplace. My wife was highly amused by the bears in the trash dumpsters. I recommend it

We almost always stay here but the attitude of the a.m. reception staff and aggressive interactions with us will make us reconsider. When we arrived at 5pm, I let the evening staff know I'd have to teach an online class in the am that finishes at 11.45. The storm required us to stay overnight for safety in Tahoe even though we were only passing through. I asked for a late check out. I assumed fairly that it was noted as they said it would be alright. No one from the front desk called at check out time to ask if we were checking out so I felt assured it was 0noted. APPARENTLY it was not. They insisted on charging me $100 for the 12pm check out because they said I needed to call the morning of our check out to notify (despite the arrangement at check in) which I didn't know. They didn’t even seem to know how to bill other than as "incidental." In addition to making the request at check in, as I heard the housekeeping cleaning nearby, I let them know we'd be out at 12pm. The receptionists said that my two communications weren't good enough and demanded the money. Additionally they patronizingly told me that we are "playing a game of He Said, She Said" in our discussion on the matter. Furthermore, this place in the past has always had ample coffee in the lobby but had nothing on offer at 7am while the two same employees referenced here sat at their desk doing makeup in replacing it. Arrogance and indifference as well as inexperience (no notation for approval) is not a good look.
