Overall it was a good place to stay. Easy walk to all the places you would want to go. On the downside, they offer coffee in your room, but nothing to go in it. The bath towels are worn with holes. Stay away from the steakhouse. Definitely not worth the price. The food didn't even seem seasoned.

12:54pm called us and that room was ready, drove back to hotel from a restaurant, kids were nauseous and carsick 1:50pm room was ready - eating at base camp 3:10pm. ask valet to bring baggage and all our stuff to the room 3:43pm. Still waiting for baggage and all our phones were dead 4:26pm heater doesn’t work - had to Change filter 5:25pm - called from break for loud banging next door and they mentioned, we’ve been trying to find out the room number for them, indicating it’s been an ongoing problem for that day for other guests as well 9:53 came back to room and they were still so loud You can hear all the small noises from the floor Above and even the rooms Nextdoor All night - the bar light kept coming on and I had to turn off 3 times during the night. Couldn’t figure out how to stop it from turning on

Always love staying here. The rooms are spacious and nice. The down fall is getting your bags to room if you have to use bell service. They wont let you take a cart on your own because there “fullservice” waited 45 minute, and called 20 minutes after waiting was told they were on there way up with our bags. Another 30 min go by and nothing. Walked down to the desk was told they were on the way. After waiting 20 more minutes they called and asked my name and said hes bringing the bags up. Over an hour. The bell man told me when he brought my items there was a mix up and our cart was in the corner. Valet was a nightmare also was told 5 minutes, ended up waiting 45 min and the lady for valet said oh sorry mix up with your ticket, after we told them we will just go get our truck ourselves.

5 night stay at Margaritaville Lake Tahoe

The hotel was clean and tidy. The bed was a little firm for my taste. Across the street from the casinos and easily walkable to the Gondola. The employees were super friendly an helpful.

Clean themed property. Except the ski valet, staff weren’t particularly friendly. We didn’t get housekeeping services 3 of the 6 nights. One drawer handle was broken and a shelf in the bathroom was tilted so stuff would roll off. But those things were minor for us. Room was fine otherwise.

We had an amazing stay at Margaritaville in South Lake Tahoe! The hotel has a fun, vibrant atmosphere that really sets the tone for a relaxing getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the amenities were top-notch. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a cozy island vibe that made us feel right at home. The location is also perfect—close to the lake, shops, and restaurants, making it super convenient for exploring the area. The only small hiccups during our stay were with the bathroom. When I used the drain stopper to give my kids a bath, a ball of hair floated out, which was a bit unpleasant. Additionally, the toilet paper holder was coming loose from the wall. However, these minor issues didn’t detract from our overall experience, and everything else was absolutely perfect. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Margaritaville to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay in South Lake Tahoe!

Resort fee is high considering problems

The $50 resort fee for one night frustrated me due to the following things: The fridge in the room was opened and turned all the way down aka not cold for my use. There were supposed to be reusable water bottles in the room. There were plastic bottles. The towel I used in the pool smelled like mildew. The coffee station in the room had only decaf coffee and tea and when I tried to make tea, the machine lot up, sounded like it was working but did not. Not sure why the resort fee if $50 with issues like these.

For the most part, the resort was very enjoyable. Beautiful building with nice decor. Staff was helpful and quite friendly. The attendants who help you unpack/move your luggage were quick and kind. The breakfast ($20) was pretty good. The major issue with our stay was that our bathroom had a leak through the floor so that a small puddle kept forming in the middle of the room. Management quickly relocated us to a nicer room which we were thankful for. It was still unfortunate that we had to pack our stuff up again and move. Besides that, little bits of trash left in the room from previous stays, wobbly/failing handles on cabinets and sadly the heated pool was barely heated. Still pretty cold so we stayed in the hot tub. Against their own rules, children were still in the pool past 10pm. Valet/parking fees were unexpected but with no parking nearby, there is no other choice. Overall good stay but there were small troubles that were irritating in the moment. Hopefully, other hotel-goers and the resort themselves will read this review.
