Pools only reason we stayed. Lots of mold on bed sheets, drywall etc, extremely outdated.Mini fridge leaked. Poor access to outlets to charge phone.Thermostat control was damaged. Staff at concierge and manager were awful. They aren’t there to make your stay comfortable but instead meet their quota while under renovation. Location is awesome.

We had a beautiful time at this resort! The pools are absolutely amazing. We loved the easy access to the beach. The view from our room was breathtaking and peaceful. I really appreciated how the staff would come in every day and give us new towels and clean up the sand in the bathroom and on the floors. No matter how careful we were there was still sand everywhere and this service really helped us manage it. The bell staff/ valet staff at the front were SO WELCOMING. We werent even valeting and they greeted us everytime and got to know us. The only complaint I have is that the beds were so small. They were full beds. Queen beds would have been much more comfortable for a family of 4. The beds also easily rolled and was hard to keep them in place. Overall this was a great experience and we would stay here again without thinking twice!

We were really looking forward to our trip to Kauai, but unfortunately, our experience at the Outrigger was very disappointing. The condition of the room was unacceptable we found mold on the bedsheets, which is not only gross but a serious health concern. It made us question the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property. The on-site restaurant was another letdown. The food was bland and overpriced, and the service didn’t make up for it either. We ended up eating elsewhere for the rest of our stay. For the price and the reputation of the Outrigger brand, we expected much better. We won't be staying here again and can't recommend it to others.

The employees were very friendly and helpful with the exception of the pool bartender who seemed not to want to wait on you the closer it got to closing time. The sand washing station near the beach should have a platform of some kind to stand on while washing the sand off. The exit door near our room did not latch properly and slammed in the wind all night long. Cleaning staff kept forgetting to replenish our coffee station. Our oceanfront room couldn't have been better with stunning sunrise views from our balcony. The food and beverages were great. The pools and surrounding areas were very clean. Overall, a good stay.

So many additional fees that you find out about after you receive your bill. No room service. Waterslide hours are limited. Beach area is limited and has too many reef rocks to safely swim in the ocean. Valet Parking should be included in the rate as the parking area is too far from the main entry and cost $29.00/day if you choose self-parking. Bottom line is we will not stay at the Outrigger on our next stay unless pricing comes down by 30-40%.

I love Kauai beach resort and spa because of the friendly staff which made our stay pleasant.The room was clean an very up to date and it was in a convient spot close to Lihue and Kapaa.

Gave poor overall rating due to the fact the lounge was closed the day before arrival supposedly for renovations not many options left when no renovations were known. Beautiful place with needed renovations. Pool bar was fine with short happy hour and closed at 6. Need more food choices. Staff good
