Almost everything was great about the property.The staff were excellent.This service was great and the cleanliness was perfect.The only downfall is if the doors require battery changing.You guys might want to look into changing and i'm keeping the batteries done every 3 to 6 months.

Outrigger markets itself as eco friendly, but the beach on the property was covered in trash and plastic. We visited other resort beaches on the same shore, and they were immaculate. This property needs to do more to clean up its beaches. Additionally, the bell staff were extremely rude. They wouldn’t look at us or greet us from the moment we arrived. We began unloading our luggage, and they just watched us without offering any help. No luggage dolly was offered either. Then upon arriving back at the resort after excursions, we were similarly greeted with no warmness or welcome. The Aloha was missing. The reception and concierge (especially Nikki) were amazing! Overall, the resort seems to be going through a transition since being acquired by Outrigger, and there are some cleanliness and service issues that shouldn’t be a part of a resort experience, especially when paying daily resort fees.

The property grounds are pretty, pretty close beach access, The lobbyist decorated nicely for Christmas. The room is average at best. Small and we could hear slamming doors all night, couldn't get to sleep. No bathroom fan.

The Christmas season was a wonderful time to visit. They trees on property looked so good. The bartender was very nice and even helped us find a garden to go to, that was amazing. We will look forward to visiting again.

Disappointingly run down
This is an expensive place, probably because of the nice beach and the pool area. But the rooms and hallways are run down to a surprising degree. When we went for dinner, we were directed to the bar/lounge to eat because the dining room was closed. "We're short-staffed on Sunday and Monday." We ordered bar food, which was good. It didn't feel like a luxury hotel.

This property is beautiful and so convenient to use as a jumping point around the island. It is also close to Walmart and Costco. The resort is so close to everything including the helicopter tours and airport but has a isolated feel as it is the only resort for miles on the beach

The Outrigger Kaua'i is a former 4 or 5 star resort that has is past its prime. Maintenance was adequate, but not first class. Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The beach directly in front of the resort is nice, but a walk up the beach (in either direction) is disappointing due to lots of trash. Pool and Restaurant were nice. The resort is isolated, so you need to drive to do eat or shop off property.
