Less than a good value
For us, what we need is a usable clean shower, comfortable bedding and electrical outlets for phones. First, the shower. It was small which is fine if it did not have considerable mold and mildew in the back corners. Also, a hand wand without a wall mount was more than inconvient. Just bare walls, no place for ones own soap and shampoo.The shower stall did not seal and prevent leakage into the bathroom. Now bedding. The pillows promoted neck injury, too small hard and thick for use. Only one inconveniently located electrical outlet near the the beds for use. Also, the room needed tobe aired out to remove an odd smell before we could be comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous, breakfast was adequate. Location is good, except that it is adjacent to an urgent/emergency care medical facility with ambulance service. Less than a good value.

Massive family room with separate bedroom for our 2 kids and a huge bathroom with separate toilet and shower. Nice breakfast. Perfect for an overnight stay.easy walk into the centre and the bud / train station. Please be aware that this a budget hotel and it situated right next to the hospital. The reception area and rooms are very basic. The photos online make the hotel look a lot more upmarket! Our AC in the room wasn’t great either and got down to 25 degrees which was just about ok. Overall, perfect for a short stay for a family of 4.

Property next door from hospital. Helicopters flying late night. Too much noise!!! Small room with towels that were old and small. Reached out to concierge and asked for a second key and I was told they could only provide one key per room. Breakfast just ok. Indo not recommend this hotel, and I cannot understand how come their rating is 8.0

Clean but spartan
No decorations in rooms at all. Bed for wife and I was two twin beds pulled along side each other. Breakfast buffet was adequate but not stellar. This is one step above a hostel. Seems like it should be a good bit cheaper than it was. Right in front of the city's biggest hospital. Really need to take a public bus to the city center, which can be caught very close on Main Street.

Better than it looks
While it was a bit difficult to find, the room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was helpful when asked to provide room basics (like drinking glasses, pillows and a kettle since they provided no water). Breakfast was simple but good quality. I would stay again but would not recommend to anybody requiring more than a place to sleep.

Hotel Fine, Location Not So Great
The good news is the staff is solicitous and often kind. From Manager Matjaz, the clerks, including friendly Katherina and Katya, helpful Doris and her kid brother Denis, a smart college freshman who helped me a lot with directions. The room was good sized, bathroom with a good shower and lots of closet and drawers space TV had CNN and many channels. However, no safe in the room, no toiletries, except soap and shower gel, so I used my own shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was okay. Rolls, scrambled eggs, cold cuts and sausage. OJ didn't work. No phone in the room, but Matjaz found one and installed it. The main problem for me: I like a hotel in the center of the tourist area. The hotel says it is 10 minutes walk from Old Town. Maybe if you're speed walking. At a decent pace it took me 15 minutes to the edge of the Old Town, with not much activity, and another 10 to the true center, Preseren Square, a beautiful array of buildings, along the river, in view of the castle. Actually near the hotel are only a few restaurants, coffee bar and apartments, but if you happen to fall ill, or have a heart attack there's a big hospital conveniently located next door. Even leaving was a problem. I was dropped off on a street to a strip a bit of a distance from the hotel. So, that's where I waited and waited for the taxi. Finally, I went back to the hotel, where they said taxi pick ups were at the the side walkway. Who knew? Matjaz kindly helped me find it, carrying some of my bags.
