Great stay - place was right on the beach, we had a great view from the room, and all the people were very polite and nice. Room was very clean - and the bathroom and shower were very nice. Heated floors in the bathroom! Will definitely be booking again!

The room I was assigned did not match the description of what I booked: King bed with full ocean view. As this was New Year's eve the hotel was full. I was given a discount on the room rate. Staff was apologetic.

Beautiful, ideal and cozy room. Incredible view of the beach and ocean waves. Spacious balcony. Everything we needed was within such a short walking distance. Great restaurants nearby that remained open at Christmas. Parking is super accessible and close to the building. Valet and front desk were nice and accommodating. Also pleased with the ability to use screen mirroring so we could enjoy Netflix and YouTube when it was raining outside. Had an issue with some outlets not working in the room but maintenance was very quick to arrive and add an extension cord for the microwave and espresso maker. Discovered afterwards that the outlet by the vanity mirror was also not working. We didn't feel like making another maintenance call. But this made using hair appliances difficult as this was the only mirror in the suite. Also, it would have been nice to have a door or some partition between the bedroom and living area for a bit more added privacy. The Surfer Girl restaurant offered pleasant and quicker service than expected. Food was awesome. Very beautiful ambiance. We're definitely coming back to stay!

I stayed at the Sea Sprite on Hermosa Beach for a couple of nights before heading to my daughter’s place, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The entire experience was fantastic. The rooms are beautifully upgraded—modern, fresh, and beachy in the best possible way, without feeling themed or corny. Every detail felt thoughtful and well done. The restaurant on-site was a standout. Absolutely incredible food and atmosphere, and such a treat to have something that good just steps away. What truly made my stay memorable, though, was the staff. Every single person I encountered was friendly, attentive, and top notch. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, style, great food, and genuine hospitality, Sea Sprite is a gem. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, I can’t wait to stay here again!

Everything started well. Around 8 PM our TV started resetting like there was an issue. Around 9 p.m. decided to go to sleep. I guess there were power issues the air conditioner/heater would make beeping noises every 3 to 5 minutes for about 30 seconds. I went to front desk and there were five other couples complaining about power to their room. Etc. Waited for Manager to show 20 minutes and left my number for them to text me. They never resolved the issue until two in the morning. Was not a good night sleep I guess SCE was working in the alley finally after talking to someone in the morning, they try to blame it on them I couldn’t believe I paid 400 bucks for one nights day and they didn’t care about making things right. The front desk lady took my number and email and said she would pass it to the manager. The power went out at 9 AM in the morning so we had no heat just to warm it up a little. Couldn’t even find valet to get my key.
This split system air conditioning heater beeps from 9 PM till 2 AM.

Pros: The property is on the beach. It has a bar and restaurant. Rooms were clean. They Had beach chairs and bikes to borrow. However, it is a very noisy place. We were there on the weekend. All rooms enter from outside. Our room was over the patio bar area and the music was loud and you could hear conversations and lots of people walking up and down steps all hours. The walkway lights were bright and shined through the room blinds all night. Rooms were dark. No lamps or overhead lights in main area. Our last night an alarm and flashing emergency lights went off outside at 1:30AM and continued until morning. There is not a regular coffee pot, no ironing board but there was a steamer and the blow dryer was terrible.
