The Queen Mary was an amazing experience. We felt privileged to spend the night. The exhibitions were great, especially the engine room. We were disappointed with the overpriced und undersized dinner options. Spending $150 on a dinner should have given us a better experience. Next time we'll stick with the bar food. Still, it was amazing and I highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Queen Mary! Yes, it’s an older ship. Yes, you can tell that the carpet or air conditioning hasn’t been replaced in years but that’s the charm of this almost 100 year old liner. I stayed in the Deluxe stateroom with mirrors in front of the bed and 2 port side windows. It was beautiful! In the room, you can see the original ship’s fans and the original placards for other amenities, truly a historical treasure. There is so much to see on the ship, you’ll have access to most of the exhibits. The staff was also amazing! The receptionist was so sweet and helped me out when I mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday. The servers at the Promenade Cafe were also so sweet! The only drawback would be parking. There is still a separate $32 overnight fee. Also, if you book through Expedia, the Queen Mary will charge you an additional $20 outside reservation fee once you check in. Other than that, I had a great time!

Love this historic ship and experience of overnighting on board. The rooms are older but in fine shape. They have kept their history. But since on an older boat, the rooms do not have all the modern luxuries. It was fun to walk around the boat - lots of signage about its history. Wonderful bar that had good drinks and a band - I wish this had been advertised a bit more because we would have stayed longer. But by 9pm when I returned after dinner, the bar was closing. We ate at the one restaurant open on board - after a mix up with who was our server was solved, we had an okay meal. Our appetizers never appeared, but the food was edible and drinks were good — in hindsight, we should have stayed at the bar for dinner. Highly recommend this fun experience and this historic ship/hotel.
